Marina's Unexpected Trip Prologue

The Multiverse is gigantic, it's a simple fact. Many countless worlds exist in the Multiverse, most of these worlds are copies of the Prime Dimension of a Multiverse, while other worlds are completely different. Across the vastness of eternity, two very different but strongly connected Multiverses have been at peace. The borders between realities have been sealed shut for many eons, however the Genesis Wave caused the borders of many worlds to break down. As a result, unexpected rifts called Genesis Portals have been showing up, most of them come and go in the emptiness of space. However, some Genesis Portals appear in unexpected places, and some have shown unusual characteristics next to the norm. Some Genesis Portals will actively seek out beings in order to transport them. Rather or not there is a conciseness controlling the Genesis Portals is uncertain, but our story though brief will show an incident involving a Genesis Portal that would connect two Multiverses into an even bigger one.

Marina's Unexpected Trip

It was a dark and beautiful night in the northwest of Equestria. Marina the Orca Seapony was waiting for the stars and moon to come out so she could use her telescope. Mocha Sunrise, Front Page and her children gave the telescope to Marina a year ago so she could watch the night sky and spot constellations. Thankfully the telescope was magical and wouldn't get damaged by water, which Marina liked because she could show it to other Seaponies. She was eagerly waiting for stars to come out, but the stars weren't out just yet. Marina's green mane was dripping dry as she kept her eyes wide open, and finally after several minutes of waiting stars came out and she made joyful cries as she began looking at all of the beautiful stars dotting the night sky. "I wonder if I can spot the constellation shaped like a giant telescope." She said to herself as she slowly but eagerly scanned the night sky using her own telescope. But then as she was looking at the stars, one glowed a very bright purplish color, she quickly moved her telescope to get a better look at the star. But as she looked at it she saw something and before she knew it she was suddenly teleported!

Lost Labyrinth Zone

Green the Hedgehog was busy exploring the underwater ruins of the Lost Labyrinth Zone of Avalon. He had visited the ruins before when Dr. Oliver Eggman had explored the ruins while looking for Chaos Emeralds and for the location of a mysterious unknown energy source, which the evil scientist used when he revived his Metal Sonic robot over a year ago. One of the reasons he was searching the ruins was because he was curious if the enigmatic being called Cinos was in the area. Cinos is a strange being who at random helps or hinders Green, his friends and their enemies. He also wanted to make sure that the unknown energy was the only source in the ruins. "Nicolas do you see anything?" Green asked his friend who was exploring an underwater section of the ruins.

Nicolas better known as Nicolas the Holo-Lynx is an advanced A.I. who was created in an alternate version of planet Mobius that was thirty years into the future. He was created to primarily serve as a friend and guide for Green the Hedgehog while he was growing up and went practically everywhere Green went, he was a very similar model of A.I. as Nicole the Holo-Lynx who's one of the Freedom Fighters that works with Sonic the Hedgehog. "Well if by something you mean brick walls built by the beings who made these ruins. Than yes, I have found something." Nicolas had developed a sense of humor over the years, and tried joking around when the moment was just right.

Green spoke to Nicolas via a wrist radio, "there's not much happening up here either. I still wonder exactly who built these ruins…" Green had begun exploring places where Dr. Eggman was in the past ever since he had found out that the mysterious being called Cinos had reactivated the Mad Gear Zone Egg Base in Avalon. He had many questions about the Lost Labyrinth Zone, and had suspected that the Trolls of the Second Great Civilization had built the Lost Labyrinth Zone and that the unknown energy that Dr. Eggman found in the ruins was actually an energy deposit leftover from the ancient dark primordial god called Ixis. He suspected this because of the fact the energy that Metal Sonic used when he was revived had similar colors to the shades of purple from Ixis energies. Just as Green was walking around looking for anything out of the ordinary, a purple light flashed above him and blinded him momentarily, just then something black landed on him. "Ow!" Two voices said at once, the first was Green's voice, and the second was one he hadn't heard before.

Marina was confused and utterly perplexed by what just happened, one moment she was out in the west coastal Equestrian oceans, and the next she was freefalling in some ruins and suddenly landed on something that could talk. "That was weird…" She said as she remembered her telescope, which landed on her nose and before it hit the ground something with an arm caught it. She then realized she was on top of someone, and struggled to get off of him. "Are you okay?" She asked the person after she got off of him, she wasn't sure what she should say or do.

Marina watched as the creature quickly shook his head, he then looked at her with eyes that looked big for something his size. "I'm quite alright." He said as he looked at her and blinked.

Marina blinked back, "d-did I hurt you?" the Seapony was holding one hoof to her chin as she asked and balanced on the floor with the other.

"No… But I have to ask if your dorsal fin is alright. It landed on my chest really hard." Marina was relieved that the stranger answered with a grin, but wondered why he wasn't as weirded out as she was by the odd stuff going on.

Certainly it isn't a normal occurrence for people little lone Seaponies to get teleported to strange places, and then just drop on to two legged talking animal people. Marina noticed he had spikes or quills on his back, and that he was a green color and had on shoes and gloves and a pair of goggles. "My fin is alright… But now that you mention it, it does feel like it might've bent a little." As Marina checked on her dorsal fin, the stranger got up and took out a white gemstone and uttered a whisper into it, he then touched her dorsal fin and it felt good as new. In fact she felt just rejuvenated by the touch, like some kind of positive energy came into her entire body. "Animal people walking on two legs with magic powers is new for me." Marina said as she realized she was in some kind of ruins.

"My name is Green the Hedgehog. What's your name?" He said as he got some water and offered it to her, she looked at it and took a quick taste and detected a mixture of salt and freshwater.

Green would help Marina across the floor, it was a bit of a task for someone with a fin tail in place of legs to move. "I'm Marina." She smile as he helped her get into some water.

Several minutes later, Green finished explaining to Marina that he was familiar with Seaponies because he went to Equestria many times in the past, mostly during personal envoys. In fact he is very good friends with Princess Luna, because of the fact he's an ageless being. Though he didn't go into the exact technicality of how he's ageless because he knew that it might be too much for her. And he wanted to help her get back to Equestria, "I have to say it has been a long while since I've been to Equestria."

Marina seemed fascinated with Green after hearing his story. "I can't believe I'm in another world, and that you've been to my world for so many adventures. You must've seen the constellations millions of times?!" Marina was excited as she held on to her telescope, which Green returned to her after he got her into a pool of water.

"I don't tell many people this. But Equestria has become one of my favorite worlds to visit… I've been to a good number of worlds in my long age. But Equestria has been among the most peaceful and quiet worlds ever. Sure there's a monster that pops up every now and again… But when it comes down to it, Equestria is perhaps the only other world I'd live in." Green said while he looked to the right for a moment, it looked like he was in a bit of deep thought.

"Um… Do you know a way for me to get back home to Equestria?" The Seapony asked after she remembered that she's still on Mobius.

Green scratched the top of his head, just then a voice came from his wrist. "Green, I've found a shrine that looks like the spot Dr. Eggman must've sent Metal Sonic too."

Marina was confused, "what's that voice? Do you have a genie?" Nicolas didn't recognize Marina's voice and went silent.

"It's a bit more complicated than that… I essentially have a wrist band that allows me to talk with people I know. The voice belongs to a friend of mine called Nicolas." Marina seemed completely fascinated with the wrist radio.

Much like a child discovering technology for the first time she eyed it and was curious how it worked, but for the most part she was thinking it was magic. "Hello Nicolas!" Marina said with excitement.

"Nicolas, Marina here is an orca from another world. I promised to help her get home." Green said.

Nicolas understood and said. "Understood. We'll meet up at the shrine."

Over half an hour had passed by the time Green and Marina got close to the underground shrine in the ruins. Green was able to keep himself alive under the water thanks to a device he created which filtered out the oxygen in water and created air for him to breath, such a device was used by Knuckles the Echidna and Rouge the Bat during the Shadow Crisis aka the Colonial ARK Crisis. He created it with help from Nicolas long ago for exploration in the Aquatic Ruins Zone of Westside Island. "This place is surely huge. I don't know how you could've moved fast enough to explore the ruins from one end to the other." Marina was told on the way over with Green that he has super speed, which she didn't see much of because of the complications in getting to the shrine.

"That's nothing, sometimes I can go faster. Though the urge to look at stuff while you run around tends to make you travel slower." Green felt that it was for the best he didn't tell Marina about Dr. Eggman or all the times heroes had to fight and stop the evil scientist from taking over the world. After the two exited the water, Green lifted up Marina much like how a gentleman would carry a lady. She was surprised by this especially when they traveled to the mysterious shrine that Nicolas mentioned.

Nicolas soon met up with the two, "there you two are. Just when I found something big." Nicolas said as his Mobian Lynx body was busy looking at something behind the shrine.

"What did you find?" Green asked, Marina was very surprised with the strength Green had and the great care he took carrying her and keeping her telescope from being damaged.

"It looks like an entrance to a hidden chamber that was made by another civilization… And…" Before Nicolas could finish he pressed a brick and then the shrine slowly sunk into the ground. The three watched as the shrine suddenly had water pour into it, the entrance and exit of the shrine sealed shut and then a whirlpool of water sucked the group down into a hole.

The group surfaced into some kind of dark room, Green blew water out of his mouth after he got out. "Are your aqua breathers doing alright?" Nicolas asked as he began scanning Green. "Thankfully our unexpected descent didn't make me spit out the emergency pair, and the one around my neck is sturdy as ever. Would've been a nasty picture if they were damaged." Marina was surprised and hugged her traveling companions.

"That was scary." She said as she shivered a bit. Green calmed her down and Nicolas turned on some artificial lights and the group found themselves in an arena that was created long before the Second Great Civilization. Nicolas inspected the ruins and found something very unusual, he then showed the group murals on a wall of the arena. It depicted what looked like the Mobian Trolls rising their clawed hands while forcing what looked like a tribe of Seaponies to build for them. The murals continued to show what looked like an ancestor of Marina, the big orca pony had enough of the Trolls bullying the Seaponies into doing their work. So in an arena battle, the orca pony had a challenge against the Trolls and after he had won the Seaponies were set free.

And on the condition of the victory, the Trolls were never allowed to use the arena of the Lost Labyrinth Zone ever again. The mural also went on to explain that the ruins made use of the Chaos Emeralds in order to allow the Trolls entry into Equestria where they captured the Seaponies. "This seems like quite a legacy Marina." Green said with a smile as he finished showing her the mural.

"I'm related to a hero… Wow." Was all Marina could say!

The group then followed a path, and were able to find how the Trolls were able to get to Equestria in the first place. They then took out a Chaos Emerald, and Green used it in order to open the portal. The group suddenly was transported in a bright green light from Mobius to Equestria. The group fell into ocean water, and landed where Marina was before she was transported. "I'm home!" She said with joy as she splashed around the water.

"Say Marina, would you mind if we looked at the stars before Nicolas and I head home?" Green asked after he and Nicolas swam to shore. Marina was excited to hear the offer and agreed to share her telescope with them. The group became fast friends after that and would later say goodbye, Green and Nicolas used the words "Chaos Control" to head back home using the Chaos Emeralds they had on their person. Marina waved goodbye to them before heading to bed.

Epilogue

"Oh boy… What an unusual dream." Marina said as she woke up with a big yawn. But as she looked at her telescope, she saw some kind of icon logo pins near it. She looked at them and they looked a lot like the heads of Green and Nicolas. "It wasn't a dream after all! Oh boy! I have got to share this story with my friends." And so Marina would tell her friends about her adventure and hope that they enjoyed her story as much as she did even if it seemed a little ridiculous to believe.
