Miku exhaled deeply, stomach expanding outward. She stretched her arms above her head, joints popping, body extending.
She could hear them chanting out on the stage. It was a soft roar, meant just for her.
"Ready, Miku?" a voice called. Static buzzed, filling the air with white noise.
"Yes!" Miku nodded, straightening her outfit. She looked perfect.
"Let's go! You're on in 5…4…3" The voices faded out as Miku dashed up the steps, a wide smile on her face.
Suddenly, she burst onto stage, blinded by the light. The din grew louder, and she could hear her name in clear, uniform notes. Miku! Miku! Miku!
The lights turned outward and music floated through Miku, and she parted her lips and sang.
