AN: Sorry about the short chapter. Later chapters will be longer.. I promise!
I don't own any cereal mentioned, or Twilight, New Moon, OR Eclipse. And if I did, Rosalie is emo.
I know I don't need to eat human food, but I love shopping. And, shopping for Bella was fun. And she couldn't deny food, it was needed. So, I usually did the grocery shopping for the Cullen home. Yes, I know none of us can eat it. But, Bella practically lives with us, so it's nice to have food around for her.
I parked the car outside the grocery store. I pulled the keys out of the ignition, and the things surrounding me suddenly disappeared.
Bella was at our house, sitting at the kitchen table. Edward was looking through the pantry, trying to find something she wanted. Bella got up and said "Do you need help?". Edward looked at her, smiled, and said "I think we need to go to the store, we don't have any cereal."
Suddenly, I was back in my Porsche. I grinned. I loved my visions when it came to stuff like this. I opened my door and stepped out. I turned on the alarm and walked at human pace to the sliding doors that were in front of me.
I grabbed a cart and went directly to the cereal isle. There were so many kinds.. I didn't know what Bella liked. There were Frosted Flakes, Cheerios, Cocoa Puffs, Rice Crispies.. It all looked disgusting to me. My eyebrows squished together, and I just grabbed one of each box. I had more than enough money. I walked down the isle, and remembered, didn't you eat this with milk? I didn't think we had any at home, so I grabbed nine of the gallons of milk. That would be enough.
I went through the other isles, and picked out a few things. When the cart was full, I walked up to the check out isles. Number two had no people, so I went there.
That's when I saw it. A big sign, bright letters, reading "Enter the lottery! Win big!". My eyes widened, and I asked the cashier, "What is the 'lottery'"? She looked at me like I was crazy, and explained that you bought a ticket, and you watched the news, and they would announce the winning numbers, and if your ticket had the numbers that won, you won the lottery, which was normally about a million dollars.
I had to enter, I mean, how could I not? I paid for my things, and walked to the counter where they were selling these tickets. I had to pick numbers, and I closed my eyes, and I saw on the news, the winning numbers. I grinned, picked those numbers, and thanked the woman at the counter. I put up my cart, and took the bags on both arms, denying the help of overly anxious bagging boys.
When I got home, I put everything up, and I ran into the living room. Esme was watching the news, and I had my ticket in hand, and sat next to her.
Edward came down the stairs with Bella, at human pace. He looked at my excited expression, and then at the ticket I had in my hand, and laughed. Bella looked at him, and he explained, "Alice bought a lottery ticket.". Bella laughed, and said, "Well, Alice, you're a million dollars richer, it would seem, I guess you picked the winning numbers?" I nodded, bouncing in my seat.
The announcer came on for the lottery numbers, and announced the winning numbers. I knew I'd win, but I still got up, bounced up and down, grabbed Bella, ran around in circles with her, put her down, grabbed Edward, threw him at the stairs, and realized what I did, giggled, not caring, and ran up the stairs to tell Jasper. I heard Bella murmur to Esme, "That was.. strange."
