And pushes away those we want to keep close.

"I'm not lying, I'll prove it." [starts undressing]
"Ew! Quil, stop it."
We'll go to great lengths to get them back
[Sees Claire and Sam making-out]
"What the hell?"
[the two pull away abruptly/mortified]
Even when they're under attack.
"Claire, you're a slut."
"No, that's way too flattering for her."
"No wonder Quil got rid of you – you're trash."
But where will you go...
[Claire's sobbing into her knees/Rebecca rubs her back soothingly]
"They didn't mean it; Sam is not using you to get at Quil," Beckah told her, unsure.

"Come here." [holds his arms out]
