Oliza was performing a naminda upon a great white plaza in the Obsidian Guild. Things had finally calmed down. The plaza was smooth under her bare feet as she did little spins. Little squirts of magic jolted around her but she didn't take notice. The magic had become natural to her now. There were many eyes upon her but she only had eyes for one.
Betia smiled back never taking her eyes from her. Oliza was very beautiful wearing a soft cream colored dress which hung low in the back leaving space for her wyvern wings to sprout. She let her movements become more daring, not caring if her dress slipped for moments unveiling skin. She had become much more daring since her confession to her parents. Nothing was so terrifying as her abdication had been. Now she cared little about exposed skin. The only person who's thought of her mattered was Betia. Betia had already accepted every part of her, so why no give the others a show? They all knew who she belonged to and would not mess with that bond.
Her mate was waiting with warm eyes and a soft embrace when she stepped off the plaza. There was some clapping but it quickly died for the audience that she was paying attention no attention to the snakes. Her only focus was her lovely wolf.
"Oliza, you danced beautifully as always." Oliza looked down into Betia's sparkling eyes. The love she felt for her was overflowing at its seams and she wanted to hold her forever never letting go. But eventually she had to when the air around them grew uncomfortable. Snakes tended to touch more in public than the Avian but they still felt comfortable to see two women start making out in front of them. Obsidian cleared his throat as he approached.
Oliza took a step toward him but was surprised to find he needed to talk with Baita instead of her. She couldn't remember him ever having a conversation with her. Sadly, she watched as her love and ex-fiancé drifted away. She didn't know what to do during her wait. She was too anxious to sleep so she paced the tent. She told herself that everything was fine but she had a deep nagging in the pit of her stomach. Betia had broken ties with the other wolves and Oliza could not think of anything else that Obsidian would have to speak with her about. Was Betia okay? She hoped for the best but the feeling remained.
Betia finally returned deep into the night. She crawled into bed next to Oliza and was immediately attacked. Feathers caressed her and scales cooled her skin. Lips gave her sweet kisses.
"Oliza, stop that!" Oliza, startled, recoiled to full human form.
"What's wrong?"
"There's news of Frekteg's death. I have been called to the leadership meeting. It is tomorrow, so we must leave early in the morning."
"We?"
"You think I would leave the love of my life behind?" She gave her a sweet peck on the lips. Smiling Oliza drifted asleep.
