A/N: Another drabble. This time it's a scene from "Doomsday". Hope you like it.

Rose gripped the lever tight. She would not let go, not to fall into the Void. She didn't want to end up in that terrible place. Besides, she couldn't leave the Doctor.

She brought her other hand to the lever, but she was being pulled back, and the pull was too strong to be resisted for long.

She saw in the Doctor's face the helplessness, the worry, the fear as he watched Rose grip the lever tight, holding on for dear life. He wanted to help. But he couldn't. There was no way he could help her without letting go of his magnaclamp and falling into the Void. He still reached out, trying to get her.

Rose felt the pull towards the Void stronger, and she felt her hands slipping. She immediately knew what would happen. She would fall into the Void, and she would stay there. What would happen to her? She was scared. No, she was terrified. Absolutely terrified. And she didn't want to go.

Yet as her hands finally slipped, letting go of the lever, she shot the Doctor an apologetic look, and she fell. She closed her eyes, and waited.

But nothing happened.

Strong arms gripped her, and her eyes shot open. She looked one last time at the Doctor, a surprised, though still scared, look on her face.

Then she was gone.

And as she pounded on the wall, crying, sobbing, weeping, yelling at them to take her back, she knew. Deep down she knew, there was no way she would see him again.

But if the Doctor had taught her something was that nothing was impossible. As she quieted, and listened through the wall, feeling his presence, she made a silent vow. She would find her way back to the Doctor no matter what. Because that was where she belonged. Next to her Doctor.
