I don't own power rangers. But I kind of wish I did...

Dana Mitchell stood nervously outside of Carter Grayson's room. Funny how she had just today taken down evil demon monsters with ease and yet simply knocking on his door was so difficult.

But she had to do it, as a paramedic, and a friend (she hoped). She felt like a fool for never having him checked out after the fire today. He had, after all, been inside a burning building for an extended period of time, and then evaded an explosion by falling thirty feet. And she would feel terribly guilty if anything were to happen.

Finally she took a deep breath and knocked.

"Come in."

Dana entered, the door sliding shut behind her. "Oh, hi Dana."

Carter had his red shirt completely unbuttoned and a wet washcloth in his hand. Just by looking in his eyes Dana could see he was in pain.

"I, well, I just came because, um, no one examined you after the fire today, and well, I just wanted to see if you were all right," Dana said hurriedly.

"Oh." Carter looked surprised. "Well, I'm fine, I guess."

Dana had to fight the doctoring urge inside her, remembering that he didn't really know her yet. "Do you have a headache?"

Carter grimaced. "Yes."

Dana removed her stethoscope from around her neck. "Would you mind? I'd really hate it if something were wrong, and we didn't know until it was too late."

Carter looked like he didn't quite know what to say. "All right."

He slipped off his shirt and sat on the edge of the bed. Dana was very glad he couldn't see her face as it heated at the sight of his bare chest. She sat next to him, placing her stethoscope on his back.

Dana listened intently for a few moments then nodded. "Your breathing sounds good. I don't think we really have to worry about smoke inhalation."

Dana winced as she saw the bruises on his back from the hard landing. She looked at his face. "No flash burns. Does the light hurt your eyes?"

"A little," Carter admitted.

"You should feel better by tomorrow. It's probably just the stress of the day. But, you didn't hit your head on anything right?"

Carter shook his head. "You can take some advil if you want. It should help."

"You're amazing Dana Mitchell."

Dana looked up at him surprised. "What?"

"You have known me for all of twelve hours and yet here you are, concerned about my well being and giving me your advice. That pretty much makes you the sweetest person I know."

Dana couldn't speak. "I don't know what to say. Thank you."

"You're welcome. I'll see you tomorrow."

"Yeah, see ya."

Dana left the room feeling warm and fuzzy inside. She was pretty sure she was going to like getting to know this guy.

Hope you liked it. It's kind of silly, not the best thing I've written, but hey, they can't all be winners. Please Review!
