A four year old Ariella had climbed out of her bed in her room. She walked over to the window and stood on her tippy toes and peered out of it. All of a sudden, a flash of light shot across the sky and a loud bang was heard. Ari was scared so he screamed and fell backwards. She bolted straight for the door.
She ran down the halls. since she wasn't watching where she was going, she ran right into a four year old Ventus.
"Ari, what's wrong?" Ven asked.
"I'm scared." Ariella said before crying after another clap of thunder was heard.
Ven wasn't sure what to do. He was only four afterall. Ventus held onto Ari's small hand and led her down the halls. Soon, he found the room where he and Ariella played. He was glad that he didn't take down the fort he and Ariella had built the other day. They built it out of some hard mats.
Ven got on his knees and crawled into the fort. The opening was narrow, the inside was much, much bigger. Ari followed him.
"This is our protection from the lighting and thunder. It can't get us here!" Ventus exclaimed.
Ari had stopped crying. Only the dried tear stains remained. Ven grabbed a flashlight and switched it on. He propped it on some pillows and started making some shadow puppets. Ariella started giggling.
After a little while, the thunder and lightning had stopped.
"Ven? Can we stay here?" Ari asked in her small voice.
"sure!" Ven exclaimed.
"I want to give you something." Ariella said while pulling out two stuffed dolls. One doll resembled her while the other resembled Ven.
"Aqua helped me make them." Ari said while giving Ven the doll that looked like her. ventus looked at the doll. He smiled and hugged it.
"Thank you." Ven said.
"And I have the one that looks like you!" Ariella exclaimed. Ari held the doll up. Ventus help up the doll that looked like Ari.
Ven and Ari looked at each other then burst out laughing.
It wasn't long before the two four year olds fell asleep.
