My FIRST Avatar fic! At first I wanted to do a Jet/Sokka one, but now I want to make it Zuko/Sokka, thanks to Usagi Youkai's inspiring Zuko/Sokka fan fics! And, for strange reasons, I am into Sokka's dad and Bato pairings. Don't ask why. I just am. Bato just seems so uke! Yeah. Please enjoy! It may seem rushed, but it's my first Avatar fic… And so you know, I have seen the third season, just one episode, and it completely confused me because I haven't seen the first episode of it. I haven't seen the third season since, but could someone explain it to me so I can get into the swing of it again? Hehe… ::sweatdrops::

Please no flames…

Sokka smiled as he bended the water. It was nice to know he wasn't completely useless, like he felt at times when he could never help Katara and the others, just sitting out like a sore thumb without being any kind of bender. Even Appa and Momo were more helpful than he was! And they're animals. Appa is their transportation and Momo helps with stress relief. He sighed as the water flowed gracefully around him. Not even Katara had the grace he had when waterbending.

"Sokka! Sokka where are you?!" Katara called, and he stopped bending, grabbing his fishing gear and walked over to the camp with the few fish he had caught via waterbending.

"I caught fish." He said, dropping it on the food mat near the fire.

"Whoa, three fish! That's more than we normally get!" Aang said with his eyes wide with awe and amazement.

"But how are we going to feed everyone with just three fish?" Katara asked.

"Easy, you guys eat. I'm not hungry anyways." Sokka said, walking back to the small stream after he had put his fishing gear away.

"Sokka turned down food? He never turns food down!" Came Toph's distant, mocking voice.

"Toph's right, he's like a bottomless pit sometimes." Katara said worriedly.

"If he starves himself, it's his own fault." Zuko said.

'Thanks you jerk.' Sokka thought bitterly. He sat near the water, and decided to gently make a current in the water, to calm himself. He breathed softly, controlling his emotions and became one with the water. This was the most peaceful moment he's had in years…
