September 1st came slowly for the young Slytherin. He was glad his fringe covered his eye so as to hide the bruise forming on it. He sighed as he passed into Platform 9 3/4, out of relief more than anything. Finally, he thought, I'm away from that old coot! He couldn't help but snigger at this thought. He stepped onto the train, the many chains hanging from his faded black jeans clinking together, his scruffy converse padding silently on the floor. His Metallica t-shirt was at least three sizes to big for him.
His violet eyes darted about the train as he searched for his friends. He nodded politely at the Gryffindor who strode past, "Richard". Jayden Marsters, for that is whom this boy was, finally found the person he was looking for, sitting in a compartment, legs crossed under them while staring out the window. Dani Taylor. His fellow 6th year Slytherin whom he'd first met last year. Their meeting had, oddly enough, resulted in them both taking a quick dip in the lake, completely accidental of course. The boy smiled at both this memory and the girl in front of him, "Hey Dani!" he exclaimed. There was a happy squeal as he was almost knocked over, "Jayden!"
He smiled softly as he stroked her hair, "I've missed you", came her quiet voice as she leant on his shoulder. Jayden nodded, "I only saw you three days ago!" There was a knock and the two teens jumped apart, a red tinge appearing on Jayden's pale face. The person outside opened the door and smiled, "Jay!" Again, he was almost knocked over but this time it was only Jill.
Jayden laughed, "Jill!" he said, hugging her tightly. After a while he pulled away, smiling down at his baby sister. Another person appeared behind the siblings. A laughed escaped Jayden's lips, "Family reunion?" he said, a smile creeping onto his pale face. The boy, a 6th year, smirked, "Did you know Potter's looking for you cousin?" cam a familiar pompous drawl. It was Draco Malfoy, Jayden's cousin. That stuck up….grr reminds me of Uncle Lucius, he thought.
He nodded slowly, his black hair falling over his eyes.. The only thing Draco and himself had in common to show they were in fact related, were their faces. Other than that, they looked as if they were from two totally different families. He looked at Draco, "Still here?"
Jayden left the carriage to search for the Gryffindor Quidditch Captain. It was a long search as he was found and jumped by his overly obsessive fangirls. He finally found Harry with his two friends, the ginger and the girl. He entered and smiled, "Harry". They exchanged manly hugs and he winked at the female, She's gotten attractive over the summer but she's still a mudblood! He silently cursed the fact he was a Malfoy. He turned back to Harry as he sat beside the ginger who watched him cautiously. It was then he realised he was wearing Slytherin clothes, "You're a…" He nodded, "Yeah but I'm Harry's friend….it's a long story", he said, emphasising the 'long'. He nodded at him, "I'm Ron, Ron Weasley!" he stuck out his hand towards Jayden. Shaking it, he smiled, "Jayden Marsters". The girl was watching him over the top of her book. He leant back closing his violet eyes. He could still sense her eyes on him. He felt Ron get up, "You coming to change Harry? The two left the compartment and Jayden turned to face the window. The countryside passed in a blur. He was just nodding off when the girl finally spoke, "Why does Harry trust you?" He turned his gaxe to her, "I dunno, I guess he saw who I really was and didn't judge me by who I'm related to…but that's just my thoughts…" She nodded, "I'm Hermione". He smiled at her, making sure to hide his fangs. Her voice piped up again, "Who are you related to?"
