A/N: This is my first Victorious story. Maybe think about reviewing? J Nah, you don't have to. Even if it would be nice. This is may have a little bit of angst. It is also quite a one-shot.
Disclaimer: I do not own Victorious. If I did, I would be loaded. Which I'm not.
" I need to do this," she said quietly to herself. As she said that, she prepared to bring the knife to her skin. Why, you ask? Because her life wasn't perfect. Oh, it was far from it.
In the world's eyes, she was(kind of) pretty. Her life LOOKED amazing. Come on, who doesn't want loving parents, a brilliant house, which looked huge, a talented little sister who was quite nice to her, shiny and glossy hair and anything else that was heavily adored. But behind the perfect mask, hid a very mentally abused girl, whose parents didn't care for her, and called her talent less on a regular basis.. Why would you like her, Trina Vega, an untalented, average-looking 18-year-old, when they could harvest all of their love and affection into her younger, prettier, more talented 16-year-old sister, Tori?
Her parents did try to make her happy, several years ago. They tried to get her an audition to get her into Hollywood Arts. And they succeeded, but Trina didn't have the talent, they said. And her parents saw the look of complete disappointment threaten to take over poor 14-year-old Trina's face. So they bribed Principal Ikner to let her in. For $2000 a semester, Trina would get into Hollywood Arts. They never intended to tell her, but it got leaked through an email to the whole school, and soon Trina was known as "The girl whose parents had to bribe the school to let her in!" And, sadly, Tori was questioned everyday, by curious students (and teachers) whether she had bribed Principal Ikner too. And that did hurt Trina.
She'd never hated her little sister. Maybe there were slight cases of jealousy, but they were soon overcome by feelings of guilt, because she really did like her sister. Even when her father would occasionally hit her for "not being as successful at Hollywood Arts as Tori," or " Not as talented as Tori," , she was quite grateful to Tori, because she was there, and she would try and defend her, and if she didn't, she'd be right beside her with a first-aid kit. Once when he nearly broke her arm,she was willing to take her to the hospital, even though Dad had forbidden her.

She thought of all this while thinking of what she was willing to do. So she ripped up the one suicide note she had written, which was a simple " Thanks for everything, Tori! Stay Strong!", and flushed it down the toilet, and set down the knife nearby on a counter. She had decided that, even if her life wasn't all that she wanted it to be, it was probably a lot better than some people's lives, and she could probably get through it if she had the support of her little sister Tori.
