Forks General Hospital-Monday January 3rd 2005

With a start my haunted brown eyes darted around the room, the sudden movement alerted a blond male who approached a warm smile on his face.

"Easy" he said "you're in the hospital,I'm Dr Carlisle Cullen, can you tell me your name?"

Reaching into my bag I pulled out a pad and pen and began writing down in elegant script

Brieanna Mikaela Swan showing him then added how did I get here? I don't remember anything at all

"That's not surprising considering you're severely malnourished and your blood sugars are dangerously low, there were trace amounts of cocaine, ecstacy and cannabis in your system alongside lethal amounts of sleeping pills"Carlisle explained seeing the look on my face adding "I'm not judging you at all, I need to tell your father about this".

Charlie, please, I don't want him or my sister knowing that I am a complete screw-up my chest rose and fell in panic he nodded seeing the state that put me in "I won't say a word of that you can be assured of"

Thank you Doctor a pause where's the bathroom ?

"Third door on your right" he answered to which I nodded in thanks before walking down the hallway and locked safely behind the door, the supressed emotions broke free and I collapsed in a dry sobbing wreck onto the cold tiled floor, reaching back into the bag where I'd hidden a stash of cocaine and cutting a line snorting it caused a sigh to escape my cracked lips. Wiping away any and all traces,I returned to the bed and promptly fell asleep.

Tuesday 4th January 2005-Morning

"Good Morning Brieanna" Carlilse said chuckling at the glare I sent his way

You are entirely too cheerful this morning

"Someone has to" he answered then turning serious "I know you got high yesterday in the bathroom"

Don't know what you're talking about

"Come now, don't insult my intelligence" he said

Okay so I got high,what are you going to do about it ?

"I'm offering you the chance to get better and I'd like you to meet my two daughters both of whom have agreed to keep an eye on you"

What if I say no ? It's not that I don't trust you but people have offered me help only to turn around and torture me in return, What makes you so different from them ?"

"I cannot promise that it won't hurt because it will,but unlike those pretenders, I will be with you every step of the way" Carlisle explained his golden coloured eyes captivated me and I found myself nodding

Okay, but be warned that I am very fucked up and will lash out if I think you're just using me to advance your career.

"Understandable, but that will not happen" he promised

Don't make promises you can't keep I wrote back.

"I'll keep that in mind" a smile appeared on his lips adding "are you hungry?"

I was about to answer in the negative but my stomach let out a traitorous growl

Yes, I guess I am

"I'll have some food liquid sent up in that case"

Some time passed in silence before my door opened and a trolley laden with stuff rolled into the room, to my utter surprise my mouth started salivating when usually I'd be disgusted at the sight. Narrowing my eyes I began to realize what my doctor was planning

I hope you don't expect me to consume all of this indicating the feast laid out before my eyes

"Of course not but I do expect you to eat at least half of this"

I'll be lucky to keep a single bite down let alone half I protested

"Eat as much as you can" Carlisle said "doctor's orders" he left me to it, I groaned before getting stuck in. As I ate the door opened again and a young woman danced into the room

"Hi there" she sang voice like silver bells ringing "I'm Alice and you are?"

Brieanna I answered I assume you're related to Dr Carlisle then ?

"Indeed" Alice answered cheerfully "he's my father."

My heart twisted itself into knots as she said that and a pained expression crossed my face before I promptly threw up,the pain of being close to someone so cheerful hurts far worse than any narcotic I've taken, this ray of sunshine blinding the demons keeping my soul prisoner caused me to scream in agony.

"What's wrong ?"Alice asked mortified she put her hands on my forearms and I screamed again, Carlisle reappeared and sedating me he turned to his horror-struck daughter her golden eyes wide and anguished.

"My charge has been through some horrific abuse, I'm working on bringing charges against them but it's going to take some time"

"Who would harm such a beautiful creature?" Alice asked her face creased with worry her voice turned protective "I'm going to watch over her" indicating the sedated woman and sitting down in the armchair she rested her head on her folded knees. Her father smiled at his daughter's willingness to protect someone she barely knows.

"Frank Williams, Lauren Schmidt, Jennifer Connors, Danielle Stevens and Brandon Alexanders" Alice suddenly said "those five are responsible for everything Brieanna suffered, they all live in the same apartment block which is 107 Deane Rd Westhill Court Flat's 1-5 Phoenix, Arizona if the police searched any of their homes,they'd find DVD's of Brieanna's torture and multiple rapes" a pause adding "Rosalie would very much like to make them suffer for this"

"Quite" Dr Cullen agreed "but let's not act rashly, the vampire coven leader said "we will have justice for Brieanna but it must be done the right way"

"Does the Chief of Police know that his daughter is here ?" Alice asked

"He doesn't because Miss Swan wants to keep it that way until she's better or at least on the road to recovery"

The door opened yet again and another woman stood in the doorway

"What's taking so long ?" she asked then noticing the sleeping mortal her eyes looked over the scarred body "what the hell happened to her?" fists clenched as she ran through the possible scenarios, her expression turned murderous upon reaching her own conclusions.

"Calm down Rosalie Hale" Alice admonished "you are quite right to be angry but the mortal woman wants to get better, I've chosen to help her achieve that goal"

"What's her name then?" the blonde beauty asked

"Brieanna Mikaela Swan" Carlisle answered "keep that to yourself" tone serious "she needs help and we will do our utmost to help"

"You know our brothers will want in on this when they find out what happened, especially Emmett,you know how he gets when innocents are harmed and most assuredly Brieanna is innocent." Alice said her tone somber
