"Why me?" Kimberly Kurt asked herself in the mirror. "Because." stated the woman behind her. She spun around to see who it was, there was no one there. "Damn it, not now!" She whined. "Why not now?" asked the woman. "Because" she said, getting angry, "I'm at school, and I don't need any help making myself look like an idiot!" Silence revertibrated throughout the room. Kim let out a breathe she didn't realize she had been holding, and walked towards the door.
She got two steps when the woman asked, "When?". Kim sighed and said, "later tonight, in my dorm room". "Okay" the woman said, and it was silent once more. Kim walked to the door and waited a few seconds in case the woman had anything else to say. when all remained silent, she opened the door and walked in to the hallway. It was ten o'clock at night, and the hall was completely empty.
She started walking past the class rooms, absently looking in each window. When she had almost reached the end of the hallway, she realized she could hear muffled voices. She looked through the window in the last door in the hallway, she could hear the voices clearly now. There were six or seven people crowded around a table, they were yelling at each other. Their voices were all jumbled together, and all she could discern out of them was '...She had to die...' Kim froze. Were they talking about her? surely they couldn't be, she had just barely stopped to listen.
"What the hell am I doing?" She asked herself out loud. Suddenly one of the people in the room looked up at the door. She spun around and ran, not wanting to know if that someone had seen her or not. She didn't stop until she reached her dorm room. She opened the door, slammed it, and locked it.
"I saw what happened". Kim jumped, and turned around slowly. No one was there. "Who are you?" Kim asked, though she wasn't sure she wanted an answer. "I'm Tabitha, call me Tabby" came the reply. "Okay, then why are you here?" she asked her. "Because" said the woman. That one word tipped Kim's sanity to the breaking point. She lay down on her bed and cried until sleep finally took her.
