~~Not like this matters, I do a prompt challenge notebook and this was to write a fanfic. I chose Nightmare on Elm Street and I took characters I have used before and turned it into this. You can find them on my page but they are really horrible. Have fun reading~~Reanna.

"You've seen him too, haven't you?" Her voice was soft, it was almost like an angel.

Tarah stared at the blonde girl who was her roommate Kate. She had been there longer than Tarah who just arrived four days ago. She knew who she was talking about, his name didn't even have to be spoken.

"How do you know who he is? These aren't just dreams, are they?" Tarah sat up higher in her bed and listened.

"Six teenagers who attened Springwood High claimed that they saw him. Alexis, Robert, Katherine, Mike, Alexander and Tiffany all battled the nightmare man"

It was the first time that Tarah heard Kate's voice. According to the nurses and other patients, she hasn't spoken a word since her accident and arrival.

"What happened to them?"

"Alexis, Tiffany and Mike all died. Once they fell asleep they were in his playground. No one even understood what was happening to the children of Elm Street. Or they did and didn't believe the story that was going around"

Kate dug into her drawer and pulled a book out. Tarah couldn't exactly see what it was, she believed it was a bible. Kate opened it and pulled out a picture.

"What happened to the other three?"

"Robert is now a senior in High School, still on the swim team. Alexander and Katherine both got into a car accident a month after the deaths. They claimed they saw Freddy standing in the road, they smacked into a tree. They both went to the hospital for injuries before being sent away"

"What do you mean being sent away?"

"After that, she hardly spoke and Alex somewhat began to blame her for him being institutionalized" Tarah's eyes lit up as Kate held out the picture.

"Alex and Kate have been institutionalized in Westin Hills for the past 3 months. Bobby is my brother…We are the remaining children of Elm Street"

"So I'm not the only one…"

She grabbed the picture and looked at the six teenagers. They were smiling, they all were full of life. You would never guess that Kate was the same girl in the picture. She was so pale, so lifeless, so hollow.

"The worst part about it all…I lost Bobby to him" Tarah trailed down to his smiling face. They looked a lot alike, he was a good looking guy.

"They say he drown but I know he didn't. He had mysterious cuts on him, they stained the water slightly red. They think he killed himself because he lost his friends and Alex and I are trapped here. Funny this how did a champion swimmer drown? Figure that one out"

The next morning Kate sat and picked at her breakfast. Tarah sat across from her, no words were spoken. Dr. Harris interrruped the kids breakfast. Clipboard in hand, he looked over the group of troubled kids.

"Alexander Tanner and Katherine Johnson, we have a test prepared for you. Please follow me" Kate looked over her shoulder at Alex who was just as surprised as she was.

"What kind of test? I was never told about any tests" His voice was shaky.

"A simple test to collect your movements while you are asleep. You parents have signed off on this"

Kate was the first one to react. She busted out of her chair and threw her tray. The nurses ran over to her and grabbed a hold of her arms. They helped Alex to his feet. Tarah tried to plead with the doctor as well as the other kids. The nurses stepped in to calm the riot down as the two children of Elm Street were hurled away.

"This is only going to help you. No medication to make you stop dreaming, everything will be comatose. You will experience one of your first dreams since being here" Before the doctor could finish, Alex tried to pull out of his bed restraints.

"You're going to kill us! Let us go!"

A nurse handed Dr. Harris a needle with a mysterious clear liquid. It was now Kate's turn to flip out. They grabbed their arms and shoved the needle in the pit of the elbow and injected the anesthesia. Kate's mother and Alex's parents looked on with a worried expression of their faces. The two teenagers stopped moving and began to fall into a deep haunting sleep.

Kate looked around the boiler room, she looked like she had seen a ghost. She prayed every night that she would never have to be there again. Walking slowly, she whispered Alex's name hoping he was somewhere around. Kate held her breath when she heard a sharp noise behind her. Sprinting off down the stairs, she screamed when she bumped into him.

"Kate, it's me. I heard you calling me and when I turned around, he was right behind me"

Alex gripped her upper arms as he looked over her shoulder. She spun around to see the man from their nightmare. He had his traditional red and green striped sweater and brown fedora. With his skin terribly burned, he raised his clawed, gloved hand in the air. Kate moved in front of Alex and took off running. Alex quickly followed behind her.

"Kate! Stay close to me!"

Their feet pounded on the steel floor and once Alex heard Kate's scream, he moved as fast as his feet could take him. Kate was sitting on her knees by the time he reached her. She clutched her left arm, the blood started seeping through her fingers. Alex ripped part of his shirt to cover up the wound. The teens lifted their heads to the figure shadowing over them. They both yelled when he sung his razor hand at them.

"We need to get them awake, their starting to bleed! Patient one, cuts on the chest and patient two, cuts on upper arm"

The staff rushed with the medicine to awake them. They looked as horrified as the paretns…They should have listened.
