Dean here, and i'm back, i'm finally fucking back! I am so sorry about the wait, because life and shit. I am here with a continuation of thelon3lywolf's story Dire Wolf, of course with his permission. I truly hope you guys enjoy, and here you go :3
3rd Person POV
"Are you kidding me?" Kate asked, shocked. "Of course I'll marry you."
"Really, Kate?" Humphrey replied, smiling.
"Yes Humphrey, a million times yes!" She exclaimed, pinning him to the ground.
Humphrey's POV
I can't believe it, she said yes, the alpha wolf of my dreams said yes (yet, I only met her a few months ago). I slowly moved my nose to hers, as we shared a kiss. "I love you Kate." I said. "Love you too." She licked my cheek, as I licked her back. Suddenly, Bella came into the den, looking right at us. She blushed heavily, as me and Kate did too.
"Um, bad time?" Bella asked. "N-No, your ok." I said, as Kate got off of me and we stood up and gained posture.
"What's up?" I asked. "Well, the wolves' leg is just sprained. She should be healed within I would say a weeks time." Bella answered. "Good, just make sure she is okay." I replied, looking over at Kate noticing she was whimpering slightly. "What's wrong?"
"It's just, I still can't believe my own father would lie..." She replied, hugging me. I'd then put my paws around her and would rub her back slowly. "It's okay baby, i'm here now..." I said soothingly, surprised I just said 'baby' to her. Maybe proposing to Kate was a good idea. "I never want to leave your side again, Humphrey. I love you so much..." She'd cry a little more. I then noticed Bella was crying too, I just smiled and continued to comfort Kate.
When she finished crying, Bella was already long gone and the sun was setting. I decided to lay down in my sleeping spot which gets the most sunlight and heat, Kate then laid next to me and we soon fell asleep.
Next morning, Kate's POV
I'd wake up, yawning slightly, noticing Humphrey was laying right there next to me. He was snoring a little bit so I knew he was still asleep, so I thought. I'd get up and would walk over to the small river in front of his den and would get a drink. I then noticed Frost walking up, sitting next to me. "Mornin' Kate..."
"Good morning." I replied with a small smile. "Sleep well?" I asked.
"Could've slept better, Dan was keeping me up all night cause' of some nightmares he had. We only live like, 20 feet away from each other and I could hear him." He replied. "Damn, that sounds annoying. Is he okay?" I asked. "Yeah, he's alright, just a few bad dreams, that's all." Frost replied, then Humphrey came up and sat the other side of me.
"Good morning, Humphrey." I nuzzled him. "Good morning, sweetie. How did you sleep?" He asked. "I slept wonderful, thanks to you." I replied, getting licked on the cheek by him.
"I'm gonna head back, come get me if you need anything Humphrey." Frost said as he got up. "Alright, oh, and make sure our borders are holding up." Humphrey replied, as me and him got up and went back inside to cuddle and sleep all day.
