The summer after Sirius' death had been hell for Briar Potter with her friends ignoring her. She had taken a job working at the local dojo answering phones. It would pay for lessons and the most important part, get her away from the Dursleys. The Order of the Chicken does not seem to think that she is gone most of the time.
One night she was out running when she was grabbed by two boys who she had known from school. They were a year ahead of her and in Slytherin. What Briar did not know is both males were members of the Libidine Werewolf Pack, the most powerful and most feared werewolf pack in the world. They have control over their transformation and do not lose their minds when they transform. When they were turned, they knew Briar is their mate. They had been spying on her for the last week without the Order knowing they are there.
Suddenly Briar noticed she was in a castle that was not Hogwarts and it was much colder. She looked to see who had kidnapped her when the first one spoke.
"We aren't death eaters Briar and we don't support Voldemort at all."
"Pucey? Warrington?"
"See Ades, she knows who we are even though Briar has ignored our existence for the past five years."
Briar was glaring at the two Slytherins. "Why the hell did you wankers feel the need to kidnap me?"
Both Slytherins were laughing at the Gryffindor. She was living up to her prickly name. Adrian knew she needed to know the truth.
"Cassius and I are members of the Libidine werewolf pack. We were turned three days into the summer holidays. You are our mate and we will not be going back to Hogwarts. We will be attending the Arctic Institute of Magic."
"I am expected to defeat Voldemort…"
Cassius projected a truth projection spell. She needed to learn the truth about Dumbledore raising her to commit suicide in her final showdown with Voldemort.
"Dumbledore deserves to be in jail, Briar. How many times will he end up letting you end up half-dead? He left with you with abusive muggles. A curse breaker could remove a Horcrux. How many more times will he put the entire school in danger before someone else ends up dead? Bonding with us and go through the change, it will end Voldemort's and Dumbledore's hold on you."
To be free of Dumbledore's meddling and Voldemort making her life hell, it was a dream come true. She knew Britain is one of the few countries in the world that still legally discriminates against dark creatures. She knew about the Libdine werewolves from defense against the dark arts and they have the rest of the werewolf community afraid of them. Werewolves, it does not matter what type, turn their backs on their mates. Her friends seem to turn on her when it becomes convenient. When Hermione was rubbing her prefect badge in everyone's face in the dorm, it was Briar who put her in her place.
"I will do it."
Adrian and Cassius had huge wolfish grins on their faces (pun not intended) and they let their fangs out. They bit into Briar's neck and she passed out from the pain. Cassius grabbed her before she fell to the floor and put her in their bed. In the distance, Briar could hear another woman come in.
"Briar, I am Karri. I am one of the pack healers. Boys, I do need to examine her."
That was the last thing she remembered before blacking out from the pain. It would be two days of agony. You run a high fever before your body settles at a much higher temperature. The concern was the Horcrux but it left her body as did the cursed scar. Adrian and Cassius did not leave her side at all.
In Britain, Voldemort had collapsed in pain and none of his top healers could figure out what was wrong with him.
The two days of hell were up. Briar went to sit up but Adrian made her lay back down. "Karri said not to let you up yet. You are still recovering. It will be a few days. Your disappearance has caused quite a bit of chaos. The Aurors watching you did a shit job."
Cassius had a newspaper that was printed in English. "Where Is Briar Potter?" The whole article was about the failure of the Order of the Pheonix keeping the-girl-who-lived safe starting from the night James and Lily Potter died.
"Libidine castle is unplottable. Oskar, the alpha of the pack is taking care of Dumbledore and officially pulling the three of us out of Hogwarts. Karri is his mate."
Oskar was in Britain dealing with Dumbledore and he loathed the man. When Adrian and Cassius identified Briar Potter as their mate, he knew once the three officially bonded, they would make his pack even more powerful.
"Albus; Cassius Warrington, Adrian Pucey, and Briar Potter are part of my pack now. The bond that Briar has with her mates has destroyed the Horcrux. Whatever plans you had for her are no more. She will be leaving Hogwarts."
"Oskar, she has to sacrifice herself to end the war. How can you encourage such gluttony and debauchery? You are encouraging her to be selfish."
The werewolf's eyes turned ice blue in rage. "SILENCE! BRIAR POTTER IS A MEMBER OF MY PACK AND IS NO LONGER A CITIZEN OF THIS MERLIN FORSAKEN COUNTRY! SHE WILL BE FINISHING HER EDUCATION AWAY FROM HOGWARTS!"
Remus heard the fight and knew the tides of war changed. In Finland, his pup had a better chance for a normal life there. Now for the two Slytherins, he knew they would treat Briar right and bonded werewolf mates are for life. They won't stray, like humans and veelas. Sirius would have a fit no matter who would catch Briar's eye. Oskar apparated away.
Hedwig escaped the Dursleys with a few things of Briar's due to familiar magic. She flew to Finland to be with Briar.
At the castle, Adrian and Cassius were in their room with Briar. The three of them were feeling edgy with the full moon in three days. Even though they will not lose their minds and will have control of the wolf, it still is nerve-wracking. Tradition in the Libidine pack is you don't make your first shift until the full moon. They went through their first shift in June and it would be Briar's turn now.
Briar had been pulled aside and given werewolf "sex-ed" by Karri. What she learned is she will not have periods like human witches but will go into heat once a year when she turns nineteen. That will be the only time she can get pregnant during the year. Also, expect lots of sex from your mates because you can seldom keep your hands to yourself. The eating of raw meat was used to calm the wolf. It did cause Briar's teeth to hurt which was normal.
What Briar did not expect was being claimed had far-reaching consequences for Voldemort. Giving up her humanity to become a werewolf essentially poisoned Voldemort. He died in his sleep and fortunately this time, the demons of hell dragged Voldemort's soul there to be imprisoned for all eternity. There will be no second resurrection of Voldemort. However, the war will go on but the followers will be fighting within for who controls the death eaters and the pureblood movement.
