Is it hot?
Somewhere on a road:
"Where are we Inuyasha?" Kagome asked again for the sixth time in one hour. "I think we're lost." She also said. "For the last time Kagome I know where I'm going ok!!" Inuyasha harshly replied back. "Hey there is no need to yell at me Inuyasha!!" Kagome yelled at him with force. "Well stop asking the same damn question every two seconds." He said while walking away. "Fine then…SIT!!!" Kagome yelled at the top of her lungs. With that said, Inuyasha was smacked a good couple of feet into the ground.
"He'll never learn will he?" Shippo asked Miroku. " I suppose not." Miroku answered him. "Hey you guys…" Sango started but stopped. Kagome turned to her. "What is It Sango?" Everyone, but Inuyasha who is still in the ground, turns to her. "What's wrong Sango?" Miroku asked. "Nothing…its just…is it me or is it getting hotter and hotter as we continue down this road?" Sango asked. "Hotter?" Shippo wondered. "What do you mean Sango?" Kagome asks her. "Its just strange that we are in the middle of winter and its this hot. The sun isn't even shinning." She replied. "She is right." Miroku adds.
"That's because the heat isn't coming from the sun." Inuyasha says getting out of his hole. "It's coming from the ground." He finished while stepping completely back on the ground. "The ground?" Shippo asks. "Like a volcano or something?" Kagome wondered aloud. "I don't know, but we should check this out anyway." Inuyasha said. "He's right. We might find clues to Naraku's whereabouts." Miroku said with a passion. "Alright, lets keep going then." Sango replied.
After walking for another hour, the heat was getting very unbearable. "Hey look a village!!" Shippo screamed with joy. They could get water, food and an escape from the heat. "Great! Lets check it out!!" Kagome said, just as happy. Kagome ran for the entrance. "Kagome wait!!" Inuyasha yelled. Just then in a huge flash of light behind the village walls was seen and then followed by an explosion. "KAGOME!!!" Inuyahsa screamed. All that could be seen however was black smoke.
