Chapter 1
Nanka walked through the forest. "I think it's time go visit your Mother Dear." She mimicked. "She lives in the middle of the forest. Yeah! Why couldn't you tell me in the summer when it was warm!" She yelled at her father even though he wasn't there.
Nanka was a very pretty girl. She had waist length black hair, hazel eyes, and a love for Halloween. She should've been out buying her costume not trudging through the forest to find a mom who wasn't even there for most of her life. "She lives in a circle of trees." Her dad had told her.
"Halloween, Halloween, where nothing is ever like it seems," she started to chant her Halloween poem. "Halloween, Halloween, where monsters come out to hear you scream. Halloween, Halloween, where witches cackle on their broom sticks at night. Halloween, Halloween, where ghosts and ghouls come to give you a fright. Halloween, Halloween, where skeletons jangle and werewolves howl. Halloween, Halloween, where the undead prowl. Halloween, Halloween, where devils come out to play. Halloween, Halloween, where those in fear always stray. Halloween, Halloween, it's the time of fright. Watch out everyone it's Halloween night!" She let out what sounded like a real witch cackle. Then she started to dance. While heading to a circle of trees in the middle of the forest.
Jason was the school quarterback. He could've had just about any girl in school, but he asked Nanka to the school dance, and they had been a couple ever since. He loved how she could love one holiday so much, and she knew how to make him laugh. He also loved her name it was so odd in such an ordinary world.
He walked over to her house, because he wanted to go on a date the next day. Maybe, he smiled they would go costume shopping. She wasn't like other girls she would rather watch a horror flick with him than go out on a shopping spree and drain his wallet.
He walked up to her house and rung the door bell. To his surprise her father answered the door.
"Where is Nanka?" Jason asked with a smile.
"She's out." Her father replied flatly.
"Where was she going?" Jason asked.
"the forest."
"Okay. Thanks." Jason said he then left and started making his way to the forest.
Her father closed the door and went to the couch. He'll be looking all night, but won't find her unless she comes back… or unless he goes there.
Nanka walked to the middle of the circle and looked around she saw a bunch of doors in the trees. Funny she thought why are these here? She approached the one that looked like a Jack-o-lantern. All of a sudden the door swung open and a strong wind pulled her in. If someone walked in all of a sudden they wouldn't have known that a girl was just pulled in the town of Hollow's Eve.
