The young green one always had a problem when it came to trust. The problem was that he trusted too much. It had already gotten him in enough trouble when Terra had betrayed the Titans. Now that she is back the number one question was: Will he make the same mistake? Beast Boy wondered that himself. The last thing that Terra had done was redeem herself in the eyes of Beast Boy. But of course to Robin that was not enough. She had put the entire city in danger, and although she helped them win she had already gone too deep. She was a villain, and there was no going back from that. Beast Boy thought differently though. He wanted this girl to be Terra again. She looked and sounded just like her. The only problem was that she did not remember.
Determined to get her memory back Beast Boy decided to do something that he thought he may regret in the near future, but for whatever reason he believed it was worth the risk. While the others were gone fighting that white blob thing again he had convinced Terra to come to the tower. They decided that it was best for him to stay behind since he was not in the right mind to fight. Beast Boy was either smarter than they thought or dumber.
It took a lot of pleading and begging for him to get her to go to the tower. He had already burned his bridges when he threw the mud at her face. He was lucky that she allowed him to speak to her. While she was with him they played with Silkie for a little bit and prank called Thunder and Lightning. She was genuinely having fun with him. She was happy that she had decided to go to the tower. In the back of his mind however he was hoping that she would remember him. That did not seem to be happening, but what did happen was the growth of her curiosity. They had already prank called two of the Titans that did not reside in the tower, but how many were there?
She had questioned Beast Boy and he responded confused. Not because he was wondering why she was wondering, but because he himself did not know. "Umm. Let's see there is Bushido, Bumblebee, Wonder Girl, Jericho, Ar…," he tried to finish. "Wait," she screamed before he got the chance to say another name after Jericho. Terra asked, "Did you say Jericho?" Beast Boy shook his head in confirmation. She began to pace back and forth holding her head. "That name, that name," she repeated to herself as if it triggered something inside of her. She began to see a silhouette. She urged Beast Boy to see a picture of Jericho. As he pulled up Jericho's virtually empty profile from the Titans' supercomputer, she screamed. Then right before his eyes she fainted. It was at that moment the others had entered the tower.
They were all staring at the unconscious girl on the floor. It really was Terra. Although she was obviously unconscious the others got ready to fight. Beast Boy quickly jumped in front of them. He pleaded for them not to attack Terra especially in her condition. They all agreed. They were just so stunned that she was there that they were automatically ready for a fight. He sat them down and explained everything.
"We were here just talking. Of course I was trying to jump start her memory. Then she wanted to know about the other Titans." Beast Boy had said to them. A mistake he knew he made when he felt himself being lifted from the ground by an aggravated Raven.
"After what she did to us, to the city, you decide that it was okay to tell her about the others. Possibly putting them all in danger," Raven yelled at him with the black aura coming from her!
Beast Boy waiting for the others to intervene, but everyone-even Starfire-were sitting there expressionless. "You-you miss the point," Beast Boy said very weekly as he felt the air coming from his body. "She was triggered by Jericho. Why? I want to know."
"Get her out of here, Beast Boy, now! If I have to repeat myself you are off the team," Robin said with malice overcoming his voice. Raven released Beast Boy and they all stared at their leader in shock. Yeah, what Beast Boy did was reckless but did he have to be kicked off of the team? "Look, it is obvious that the two have a connection. But Jericho is entitled to a secret identity. Just like the rest of us. We do not even know his real name. We do not even know the real names of any of the others. We know nothing of Kid Flash. Does Pantha have a middle name? Where was Kilowatt born? How old is Wildebeest? What is Speedy's favorite color? How did Kole move underground with a caveman? Tell me what color are my eyes! Answer me, Beast Boy, since you expect us to know everything about our teammates our friends," Robin ranted. Beast Boy looked around waiting for one of his teammates to step in and say something. But nothing was said. Then Cyborg stood up and walked over to Beast Boy. "They have all proven themselves to be heroes, but Terra has proven to be a villain. Yeah, BB, she saved us all last minute, but she did more harm than good." They all turned to the girl who they thought would be on the floor. What they saw was a girl with tears in her eyes. She stood up and ran out. Beast Boy began to run after her, but was stopped by Raven. He looked at Robin and Robin looked back at him. The expression on Robin's face said it all. Beast Boy knew that if he walked out of that door he would not walk back in ever again. He stood down.
Robin was curious as to what was happening. He looked at his secret files. The one he kept from all of the Titans. It had all of their real names. The list had their strengths and weaknesses. Needless to say, after Terra's betrayal Robin got a little paranoid. Out of all of the Titans Jericho was the only one that had nothing in his file. Of course his powers and location were listed but nothing else. His hometown, his real name, no matter what Robin tried he could not find out a single thing about Jericho. The only reason he even gave Jericho the title of Honorary Titan was because he knew the Brotherhood was after him. At that moment it hit him. Jericho was living in the moments of Tibet. Why was he on the Brotherhood's list of heroes? Jericho was one of the heroes that they could not catch. So who would have been able to get him? Robin had long ago concluded that the only person in the entire area with whom Jericho would have problems beating in a one on one would be Cheshire. Everyone else included the main team Jericho would basically destroy. Yes, the boy was young but Jericho was not the Doom Patrol. He was a better fighter than everyone on that purple obsessed team. The Doom Patrol was not on the same level as the Titans in terms of skill, power, strategy, or anything to be honest. It took the Titans less than a year to defeat the Brotherhood of Evil. The Doom Patrol could not even scratch them. To be fair, The Brotherhood of Evil was pretty weak. A team consistent of a circus freak, senior citizen, a gorilla, and a jar. Not the most impressive. Jericho could have curb stomped any one of them. The Brain must have known that. So why go after someone you had no chance of beating. But as smart as the Brain was he should have known he could not beat the Titans at all. The previous year they had defeated an omnipotent demon. Robin never understood why the Brain thought they stood a chance.
Robin had witnessed Jericho fight. He saw those moves somewhere before. The Brain knew that Jericho was a threat, but to send amateurs to collect him was odd. Not as odd as Terra recognizing him though. This was especially weird since she did not even recognize her old team.
Robin had put Beast Boy on probation and sent him to the Titans East tower so that Bumblebee could knock some sense into him. He had informed her of the past events and she was in shock herself.
Robin had decided to do some investigating. He watched Terra sit with her best friends, but he noticed that something was on her mind. As she was walking home alone he stopped her. She did not seem surprised at all. Almost as if she knew that he was following her. In fact she did.
"I was wondering when you were going to show yourself, Robin."
"So you remember?"
"After yesterday everything became as clear as day."
"What gave you your memory back, Terra?"
"It was Jericho."
"Why?"
"Robin, I was there when you were giving Beast Boy that lecture. Jericho is entitled to his own secret identity. As a leader you shouldn't be so hypocritical."
Robin gripped his fist tight, and he stood in a fighting stance. Now that Terra had her memories it stands to reason that she also had her powers. So he was prepared to fight. "Answer me," he yelled!
"Robin, I don't need to cause you already know. You just want confirmation. Am I right?"
He was indeed right. Robin knew where he saw those moves. Robin knew why Jericho was such a threat to the Brotherhood. What Robin did not understand is why they would go after Jericho knowing the possible repercussions.
"Terra, please answer me this. How do they know each other?"
