Draco looked out upon the night sky. The stars were shimmering like always, glinting in the moon-light. They look shiny and bright and beautiful, despite his gloomy mood. The astronomy tower always used to make him feel better, better about stupid things like getting an E on his potions essay, or losing 50 points from Slytherin for messing with Potter. The tower he once looked to for substantial happiness, now did nothing for him. It mocked him. It made him miss the old days of when he didn't feel the weight of the world on his shoulders, it daunted him, making him feel like a fool for ever being mad or sad about such stupid things.
Now he had the weight of the Death Eaters and the stupid Half-Blood monster Voldemort. Now he had the task of killing the one and only Albus Dumbledore. He had better things to worry about than grades, or "The Golden Trio". The Boy Who Lived, he respected him. He knew what he was going through. They both had things like this on their minds, and they both were fearful of death. So Draco respected the idiot for that. But nothing else. It was because of him that Draco had to do this, it was he who made Voldemort as crazy as he was. Why couldn't he have just died when he was a stupid little baby! Draco angerly thought. He quickly dissmissed this thought though, knowing very well it wasn't because of him. It was a lot bigger than him.
"Draco?" a voice rang through-out his head, interrupting his thoughts. He didn't care though. He knew who it was. He felt her prescense behind him. Teasing him. "Are you alright?" she continued, cautiously he could tell she was scared- nervous to be speaking to him.
"Go away Granger" he said with little anger in his voice, too worn down to say it with the spewing hate he usually did "you know I like to be alone while I'm up here" he stated, nicely enough. He then stood up, and faced her. His dark circles were so apparent on his paler than pale skin. His hair askew in front of his grey eyes. "Draco, you know I'm worried about you.. Y-You don't look well.. Not yourself" she said, caressing his face, endearingly. "You know nothing about me Hermione" he said softly. She looked thouroughly sick. His heart ached for her, longed for her. "I've already told you, you need to stop doing this to me" he said, looking into her brown eyes, pleading, begging for the answers he needed. He ran a hand through her hair and pulled her close to him, kissing her softly on the lips. "Draco.." she sighed "I want to be with you so much" he smirked, kissing her again. "And you don't think I don't want to be with you? You don't think this kills me every single day?" He raised his voice, tears spilling from his darkened eyes. "I have to do this.." he choked out "I have to kill him!" he yelled. "Or he'll kill me.." he finally said. Hermione stood there wiping her eyes furiously "No! No Draco! I told you we can help you - The Order" Draco cut her off sharply, pulling his sleeve up and revealing his mark
"There's no going back now, love" he said, sobbs breaking through yet again.
