Holy Water

She sat on the edge of her bed, crying, not knowing she was being watched.
~Somewhere there's a stolen halo~
~I use to watch her wear it well~
~Everything would shine wherever she would go~
~But looking at her now you'd never tell~
Her window swung open but she didn't care as the frigid winter winds blew into her room.
~Someone ran away with her innocence~
~A memory she can't get out of her head~
~I can only imagine what she's feeling~
~When she's praying~
~Kneeling at the edge of her bed~
She dropped the object in her hand and fell to her knees on the floor, still crying quietly.

She suddenly felt a warmth around her body and gasped as someone or something lifted her to her feet. She didn't have to look to know who it was.
~She wants someone to call her angel~
~Someone to put the light back in her eyes~
~She's looking through the faces~
~And unfamiliar places~
~She needs someone to hear her when she cries~
He person lifted her chin with a clawed but gentle hand and wiped away her tears with his thumb. He smiled gently and brushed her bangs from her face. "You don't need to be so strong on your own you know." She bit her lip and nodded, tears coming to her eyes again. He leaned her head to his chest and let her cry.

"Inuyasha, I'm sorry." She whispered through her tears. He smirked and sat on her bed with her.
~She just needs a little help~
~To wash away the pain she's felt~
~She wants to feel the healing hands~
~Of someone who understands~
He let her cry herself to sleep, combing her hair with his fingers. "You can only be so strong for so long on your own…I learned that from you." He told her sleeping figure. "That's why I love you, that's why I came, that's why I need you." He continued, kissing the crown of her head.

She smiled in her sleep, finally having comfort, knowing she was with someone who could confide in her as she confided in him.
