~*~Prologue~*~

Lucius opened his eyes lazily and noticed the empty pillow beside him, he blinked. Where was his wife? Why was it so bright at midnight? As his mind whirred to life like an old computer, he realized that the source of the light was a very full moon that was peaking through the window. He pushed himself up, placed his slippers on, and grabbed a robe that was neatly placed on a chair beside the bed. He placed the robe on and walked out of the master bed room. He walked by Draco's room and went downstairs, noticing his wife by the door.

Clad in her usual attire, Narcissa was standing there making sure she had everything that she needed. She didn't want to leave, but she had to. She wasn't welcome anymore. She could see it when everyone couldn't. Lucius slowly walked towards her and placed his hand on her shoulder, she slightly jumped and turned around. She placed her hand on her chest and took a deep breath. She blinked away the tears and gave him a weak smile, this was the hardest thing she had to do. She was leaving him and her son, she was going to miss them.

"Narcissa, are you bloody mad?"

Those were the first words that came out of Lucius' mouth, not kindness in his voice. Narcissa had the urge to slap him, but she controlled herself. She heaved a heavy sigh and clenched her free hand.

"I'm leaving."

Narcissa spun on her heels and opened the front door, she hated explaining things - especially to her husband. Before she could walk out, Lucius placed his hands on the door and closed it. He surely didn't want her to leave, she was important to him.

"Lucius, let me be. I have no intentions to stay here."

Lucius hesitated for a second and sighed, then moved his hand away from the day. He knew he couldn't force her to stay here, he crossed his arms and watched his wife leave without saying a word. He walked over to the door and realized that she didn't give him a reason, he quickly ran outside and grabbed her arm.

"Why are you doing this? Tell me."

"Lucius, you don't love. Why should I stay in a place where I'm hurting?"

Lucius scoffed, he felt ridiculed. If he didn't love her, he wouldn't have married her. He shook his head out of disappointed and pulled Narcissa closer to him, she winced and tried to pull away. Lucius was now eye level with her, he was about to say something until he looked into her eyes and noticed that she was hurting. Because of him. Naricssa whimpered, she just wanted to leave, only if she had left sooner then the confrontation wouldn't have happened.

"Woman, I don't know what's going on in your head."

"There's nothing wrong with me, I'm just sick of it. All you do is ignore me, you leave me in the dirt. I'm wife for goodness sake, Lucius. I like being treated with respect instead of being ignored and beaten down. You have work, I get it. But, that doesn't mean you have to treat me like crap. You go on raids and come home angry, you take it out on me. And what about Draco? You haven't even seen him for days now, you're not in his life."

Lucius was speechless, he sighed again and released her. He wasn't in the mood to argue, especially so early in the morning. She was a grown woman, she knew how to take care of herself. He came to a sudden halt and turned his head to the side.

"Go on and leave, you bring shame to this family."
