"Moses!" Tzipporah called. She gently but quickly made her way through the flock, her staff in hand.

Small blue flowers were tied onto it.

The Midian girl reached the shepherd. She waved the staff in front of his eyes.

"What's this?" she inquired, pointing to the miniature bouquet.

"What's what?" Moses raised an eyebrow, grinning. "Is... there something wrong with your staff?"

Tzipporah almost hit Moses in the face when she showed them closer at him.

"Why thank you," joked Moses. "But I don't much care for flowers." He pushed the staff away, still grinning.

Exasperated, Tzipporah sighed and told it to him straight. "Did you do this?"

Moses shrugged. "Maybe I did, maybe I didn't," he said, and he started to walk. "But what I know for sure, if I ever gave any flowers to a girl – which I didn't – I'd probably be entering courtship – which I'm not."

"Alright then," said Tzipporah. And she set an example. "What if it was you?"

Moses shrugged again. "I don't know," he looked at her. "How would you react?"

Tzipporah paused and started to blush.

"Well?" asked the shepherd.

"I... I'd think it would be sweet..."

Both of them had stopped now. Moses looked away. "Mmhmm," he said. "What if I said, here and now, I was that guy?"

Tzipporah blushed harder. Then she nudged Moses. "Oh, so you are admitting it!"

"Am not," he replied, and they continued their stroll.

"Come on," Tzipporah said. "You're practically admitting it."

"Fine, I give up," said Moses with a sigh. "It was me. So there."

Tzipporah blushed again. "Oh!" she replied, and she stopped mid-stroll, leaving Moses going ahead. "I mean... you took all that time before finally admitting it?"

Moses never replied to her question. "I just... wanted to hear your reaction first," he said. "Now that you know, is it as sweet as you thought it would be?"

"That's not true," she said. "I'd say it was sweet if you'd give anything to me like that."

She blushed the hardest tone Moses had seen her blush in days.

"Oh," she said. "And didn't you mention something about courtship?"

It was the shepherd's turn to blush this time. "Yes," he sheepishly replied. "Yes I did."

Tzipporah poked him on the shoulder. "So are you...?" she asked.

Moses took a deep breath. Tzipporah was ready to hear the answer, her stomach rumbling with fear, anxiety and something else... what was it in there she couldn't make out...?

She had no time to think. Moses opened his mouth and replied.

"Maybe I am," he said. "And maybe I'm not."

Tzipporah heaved a deep sigh, angry but also prepared to laugh at his sudden – IMMATURE – reply.

"Moseees!" she cried, and gently pushed him on the back.

NOTE:

This happened very soon after Moses was seen "flirting" with Tzipporah on the rock as they tended the sheep in "Through Heaven's Eyes". It was based on a comic I also made, which was based on an idea I got. Well, of course.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy – and I hope I can get the comic in the computer not long after I submit this.

Just say a bloody effin' yes, Moses!!! Yah, I guess she (Tzipporah) got over the whole "given to Rameses" thing – she ended up marrying him, for Heaven's sakes!
