Me: Hello people! I'm here to present my Kasumi/Satoshi oneshot :) don't ask why I used the Japanese names, I just thought it sounded cuter that way. :P

P.S Beware for major OOCness of Kasumi and Satoshi ^.^

Kasumi stared at the sunset, disappearing under the water. She could smell the salt from the ocean, its gentle surf spraying her softly. Her friend, Satoshi came up from behind her, "Kasumi?"

"What is it, Satoshi-kun?"

He sweat dropped at her, "I told you, you don't need to add '-kun' to the end of my name."

She tucked her knees to her chest, "Why's that?"

"We're close enough now right? I mean we've been travelling around together for so long. I stopped calling you Kasumi-chan long time ago."

She rested her chin between her knees, "I know, it's just that, I don't want things to change."

"Change," Satoshi echoed. He sat beside her and cautiously laid a hand on her shoulder. "Everything changes eventually Kasumi."

"But..." She whispered softly, "I don't want things to change between us."

"Between us... What do you mean?"

"This doesn't make sense Satoshi-kun, but I don't want to stop being your friend."

"Stop being friends? Kasumi, are you crazy? How is taking the '-kun' off of my name going to make us stop being friends?"

"It's not that," Kasumi bit her lip, "I've always used honorific's; the only time I haven't is with my family. Calling you only by your name... I know it's stupid, but calling you only by your name would mean to me... We're closer than friends."

"Of course we are Kasumi, we're best friends." Satoshi blushed lightly.

"No Satoshi-kun, even more than best friends."

"More than..." He swallowed, "All this time, whenever I called you Kasumi without a honorific, was I implying more than friendship?"

"N-no, I didn't mind you calling me Kasumi but... I can't call you by only your name."

He made her look at him, his finger resting gently on her chin. Kasumi felt her heartbeat accelerate. "Satoshi-kun..."

He shook his head, "Kasumi, I... I'm not going to lie, we got off to a rocky start and everything but... I..." Biting his lip, Satoshi seemed to be thinking through his next words.

"Satoshi-kun, you are a very interesting person," Kasumi whispered, "You're so courageous, brave, smart, hyperactive... I'm lucky to have met you."

"Lucky?" Satoshi asked.

She nodded, blushing. "Satoshi-kun I think... I think that, even with how I am, I fell for you."

He smiled, "Fell for me huh?" He looked into her eyes tenderly, "I fell for you too."

Her eyes widened and he leaned forward toward her. "Kasumi..." He whispered tenderly.

"S-Satoshi..." She replied.

His lips pressed against hers. They were warm and soft, feeling just right on Kasumi's lips. When he finally broke the kiss he smiled warmly at her, "See? You don't always need a honorific."

She smiled at him, "I guess you're right."

Then, she pulled him into a loving hug, "I love you Satoshi."

"I love you too Kasumi."
