Slash. Slash, slash. 'One more… then I'll stop…' slash. Gently, almost reverently Meru set the knife back in the cabinet. As he looked up into the mirror he saw a pale boy with hair dyed black and multiple facial piercing.
"Meru!!!!" called his stepmom, chikayo. "Come eat your dinner and do your homework!"
"One second, woman!" god, he fucking hated that bitch… bandaging himself up he slowly started his way down stairs trying to put off the inevitable. As he clomped down the last few stairs he looked around.
"Meru, honey, we have guests. Please be nice to them." She said sweetly. But underneath the smile Meru could see the thinly veiled threat that screamed at him 'if you don't you'll get an even worse beating tonight.'
"Hello. My name is Merukai. May I be so rude as to ask you for yours?" Meru asked with a small, fake smile hovering on his lips.
"Oh! Where are my manners? My name is Saruka. And this is Chiyoha. You're going to be living with us from now on."
"Oh… may I ask why?" Meru uttered confusion written all over his face.
Gently as if not to shock him too much they told him "we are your aunts, Merukai. And, before you ask, we are lesbians." "oh…" Meru put forth quietly. And continuing on! "your father has decided that your step-mother, chikayo, is not stable enough to have the responsibilities of taking care of a child."
"if you two are my aunts why have I never heard of you?! Why were you never here for me? Do you hate me that much? Are you only doing this because my father dearest asked you to? Well? Answer me!!" Meru yelled at the two women sitting on the coach. "you know, whatever, I don't give a flying-fuck…" and stormed out of the house.
Halfway to the park he pulled his cell phone out of his pocket and dialed his best friend's house. "moshi moshi. This is Edward speaking."
"Hey Ed… can you take me in for a little while? I need some help."
