P.S. If you don't know the story of the Three Brothers DON"T READ THIS!

P.P.S. I don't own anything except Selena and the Night Flute.

Selena Peverell, youngest of four, sister to Antioch, Cadmus, and Ignotus Peverell: the

famous Three Brothers. On the night of their run-in with death she secretly followed them, this is her story and what comes of it will change history forever.

Ω

After the three brothers passed on from Death's position by the river the angry Death destroyed their bridge in a fit of rage. He planned to never again let himself be defeated by a mere mortal. As he ranted to himself a young lady came walking up the path to the river and stopped. Death noticed her and smiled with glee, thinking that this beautiful young flower would soon be his.

After a few silent moments of thought the girl pulled a wand from within her dress and conjured up a boat. She charmed the boat to speed across the river and hopped out on the other side. Death seeing these events grew even more furious than he had earlier. He decided to try and trick her. He came to her praising her ingenuity and congratulating her. He offered to give her a gift of whatever she chose. The girl had seen what had transpired earlier between death and her brothers and knew exactly what to ask for.

She requested that he give her music to charm anything and everything. Death scoffed inwardly thinking that she wanted the object out of vanity and planned his next moves carefully. He reached down and plucked seven reeds from the riverbed. Using his powers he fashioned them into hollow flutes which he then bound together with a strip of his cloak (a spare as his original was now in the possession of Ignotus, the youngest brother).

Giving the pipes to the girl he began to think of a curse to place upon it so that all who hears it would covet it out of jealousy as he had done with the Elder Wand (this is what caused Antioch, the eldest brother, to die that night). Before he could act upon his thoughts the girl began to play upon the pipes. A haunting, echoing melody softly floated through the air filling Death's head and drowning out all thought.

The girl had Death in her sway now and commanded him to never approach her or her family until they invited him through their actions or words. Death agreed readily and swore an unbreakable vow to do as she wished. He then disappeared silently. After returning to the river Death broke out of the trance and realizing what he had done screamed to the heavens. All who heard the scream dropped to the ground in fright.

From that day forward no one cheated Death and he gave no more presents except to those who held the blood of the Peverell girl within their veins.

Well there you go, hope you liked it! I am going to create a series based on events that come after this tale is discovered, but I'm not sure how good it will be and I have to get all of my ideas out before the muse dies. Hope you review! Vale et inspiratio tuta
