"MOMMY, DADDY, TEDDY, HUNTER, AZULA! I'M HOME!"
A little 3-year old scarlet red-haired girl screamed her lungs out as she entered her elegant home. Her calls brought a black husky dog's attention as it made its way excitedly to the caller's direction. The girl squealed as she was pinned by her brother's lovely dog, Hunter, who slobbered her in licks of affection. A 6-year old boy made his way downstairs, holding a pair of ear phones and a small laptop in his chubby hands. His hair was messy as if he had just rolled out from the bed.
"Teddy, where mommy and daddy?" She asked as she got out of the kitchen to find no one but a tray of freshly-baked chocolate chip-mint cookies, which she took one and munch it away. The boy, Tad or commonly called 'Teddy' by his sister, just stared at her with a blank look before yawning.
"Mom and dad's are out shopping I think." He drawled, placing his headphones on and peering into the fridge to see anything edible. The girl just pouted and huffed at her brother, trying to make him give in to her whims.
"Can you call them for me?" pouts Scarlet. She loves to hear her parents' voices; especially her daddy's deep, masculine voice as he sings her goodnight. Ted stared at the girl as if she was delusional as he shook his head into a rejection pose. He was ready for her winnings in three . . . two . . . one. . .
"No fair!" cried Scarlet as she faked-brawl. Her brother rolled his emerald green eyes in annoyance of having his sister act like a drama queen. He blamed his father for spoiling her.
"Don't you dare pull that look on me! Ya' know it won't work on me." Tad scowled, getting a bottle of carbonated drink that was stashed inside the fridge and gulping it down. Scarlet pouted.
"No fair!" She whined, running all the way to her father's study room where she loves to take comfort in. Slouching on her father's arm chair, her sea foam eyes strayed over to the mahogany desk in front of her. A blueprint was rolled out and was spread out to its viewer but Scarlet doesn't care what her father was working on, unlike his brother. He's the most genius daddy she knows and no one can beat him! Well no one except mom. . . She silently admits guiltily. She is the only person Scarlet knew her father would put heaven and earth to her knees. He loves her just that much. She grinned.
An interesting game controller-like device caught her interest and Scarlet grabbed it in her chubby hands. Pushing random buttons, she didn't realize her brother had came in with their pets, Hunter the dog on a leash tied to his wrist and Azula, her pet snake her father had gifted his little princess on Christmas a year ago, winded around his shoulder.
"Scarlet! What do you think you're doing!" shouted Tad in shock. Scarlet accidentally dropped the device and picked it up, not realizing that a vortex had opened directly behind her. Ted however, had seen it and rushed over to rescue her only to end up being sucked into the vortex with her along with their pets. Before the vortex shuts down, Scarlet managed to see her father rushing into the room and watched helplessly as his children were sucked into a different time period.
"SCARLET!"
