Healing

Just a short one shot based on something me and my friend were talking about c:

Dean was up to his eyeballs in demons. He hit out randomly with his knife, not bothering to be careful. Sam was covered too, and there were more of the suckers coming.
"Sammy! Watch out behind you!" He shouted, voice almost drowned out by howls of demons. The younger brother seemed to hear him though, as he kept checking behind him to see if they were in striking distance.

Demons were coming in thick and fast now and Dean was starting to get worried. It hadn't been this bad in a while, and Cas hadn't even shown his face. He couldn't stop his thoughts from drifting to the angel - this happened way too often these days, but the hunter couldn't bring himself to care.
"We need you down here, Cas" Dean growled, and the demon he was currently fighting smirked.
"What's the matter? Your little angel abandoned you?" She snarled, her face contorted into a sick smile. Dean grunted in response and stuck his knife through her eye, trying to shake off her words, but failing. What if she was right? What if he had abandoned them? Before he could think any further into it, another demon was on him.

In the midst of the fighting, no one noticed Castiel, watching from the sidelines, head cocked to the side as he stared at the older Winchester brother. His feelings towards him had changed recently, and he couldn't quite put his finger on it. All these feelings didn't make sense to the angel. When he had seen enough, he joined in with the fighting, picking off demon after demon with a simple touch. Not long after, all the demons were dead and Dean was storming toward Cas. Dean knew the anger was blatant in his every move, but he was to exhausted to hide it. Cas stared, watching the way the hunters mouth formed his name.
"What the hell, Cas?" He shouted, though somewhere, no matter how angry he was, he was relieved to see their old friend.
"I'm sorry." He mumbled, but all these emotions and thoughts got too much and soon after he disappeared.

Dean was still raging when they reached the next motel. "What the hell does he think he was doing? He just shows up when we're bother nearly dead and then just disappears. That son of a bitch." He shouts when they enter the room. Sam shot his older brother a sympathetic look. Maybe Dean just doesn't realise his feelings towards Cas yet, he thought, but to him it had always been obvious how they felt about each other.

The next time Dean and Cas saw each other, it was after another hunt and the older Winchester was beaten and bruised. As soon as the saw each other, Dean mustered up all the energy he could, strode over to Cas, and punched him straight in the face. Well, he would have done if the angel hadn't caught his fist when it was an inch away from his face. Even though his hand hadn't connected with the angels face, he regretted trying, as he just looked like a kicked puppy when he let his hand go and it just made Dean's heart hurt.

"I'm sorry, Dean." He said, and Dean was sure he was staring straight into his blackened soul. The angel slowly lifted his own hand up and ran his fingers over all the cuts on the hunters face. They were both shocked by the intimacy of the gesture, and before any of them knew it, their lips were sealed together in a kiss. Castiel let his power flow into Dean, making him all shiny and new again.

A/N - Okay so that was my first ever Destiel fic. I thought it turned out okay. Tell me what you think in a review?
