Prologue

"We must leave."

The voice of an enchanting youth whispered in the girl's ear, yet he knew that she was speechless at the moment.

She stayed stock still her eyes vacant of any expression what so ever, but tears still flowed down her porcelain face. He sighed and examined her body for any lesions she might have ascertained during the attack.

"Well at least you're not injured." He muttered.

His nose slightly twitched at the smell of blood splattered across the cottage walls and floor.

"Stranger, leave me." Her voice was monotone, and was rasping a little as if she was out of breath.

He backed away for a second and gazed at the woman before him. By her clothes and the fact that she looked like a deity he concurred that she wasn't of this house. Her lips were scarlet, her eyes ember, and her hair was a light honey blonde. She wore an indigo laced bodice, and the bottom was drenched in the crimson liquid of a life force.

"What a waste." He turned to leave on her command, but was compelled not to for some unforeseen reason.

"Tell me before I leave who killed them?" His voice was unexpectedly hard and demanding.

She said nothing nor made any acknowledgement of his question even being told. He turned to leave again but not before…

"I told him not to hurt them, but he wouldn't listen to me. He said that I had to watch or he would kill father, but I was stupid to believe that he was still alive."

She looked up at him again noticing for the first time that he was what the commoners call a Hunter.

She examined his face, and like so many others she was taken aback by the beauty it held. His face was framed by chestnut colored hair that came to his shoulder blades. His skin was pale almost a bluish frost color, and his eyes looked like the seducing type almost like a cats would be. His ears... she saw that they were pointed.

Trembling and blushing as she turned her face away from him. She realized that the man she was irrevocably in love with already was in theory no man, but what they called a dhampir.

"Will you leave, or not?" He asked with his voice soft again.

"Yes," was her answer, but it came out in which only could be described as a squeak.

There you have it my prologue!! Review if you wish me to continue!!
