Surprise for Flint

Following his departure from the police force, ex-Inspector Flint is called to the Superintendent's office. This is intended as a tribute to Mel Smith, who played Flint in the film version of Wilt

A Surprise for Flint

This story is a sequal to the film Wilt, ( title/tt0097891) which ended with Flint leaving the police force. The events depicted take place the day after Flint and Wilt's meeting at Eva's Kasheido class, which Flint is attending at the insistance of hie new employer.

Flint hesiteted briefly, in order to try and gather his thoughts, before knocking on the door of the Superintendent's office.

'Come in, and shut the door,' boomed the Superintendent, in what Flint recognised a tone of exarsperation.

Flint grasped the handle, twisting it to the right as he did so, and pushed the door open

'Now, I don't what this is about,' said Flint as he stepped through, turned on the spot and pushed the door back into place, 'Or why it...'.

'Hello again.' said a cherry female voice from behind his right sholder.

Flint gulped twice, and slowly turned around. There, siting in front of the Superintendent's desk, were Henry and Eva Wilt!

'What are you two doing here? demanded Flint

'Wasting my valuable time trying to pursuade me to get you reinstated!' snapped the Superintendent.
