Rugged was not a word I would have used to describe him.
Those muddy boots and torn flannel sure looked good in a pile on the floor and his copper and black stubble might have screamed 'burly man', but it was his manicure that tipped me off.
So neat and trimmed—filed and rounded—those fingernails would be smooth as river stones gliding over my skin and the soft patches of flesh between his knuckles would be the perfect place to stop for a bite.
I let my arm hang over the back of the couch. "Let's take our time tonight."
