For the Ultimate Battle Competition. It seems Andromeda wanted some fluff, and here's my try at it.
"He's beautiful, Nymphadora."
Tonks smiled at her mother's words, beaming with pride and affection to her newborn son.
"He has dad's nose," she added, thinking sadly about her father and all the fun times she had with him during her childhood. "But those big ears are all Remus!"
"Don't shout," Andromeda said. "You'll wake little Teddy."
She brushed her fingers against her grandchild's forehead, trying to save the moment in her mind forever. A sigh escaped her lips and Andromeda saw her daughter frown.
"We'll be fine, mum," she said, hope permeating through her voice and trying to convince herself as much as her mother.
"He's our light, Nymphadora," Andromeda said, thoughtful. "You should have named him for a star."
Tonks rolled her eyes, which were currently of the same grey shade as her mother's.
"I wouldn't dare ruin his life, mum," she joked, earning a disapproving glance from Andromeda. "Hey, you have to admit Nymphadora is an awful name."
Andromeda didn't respond to her daughter's comments, concentrating instead in the faint azure eyebrows Teddy had.
"Remus wanted to call him Edward Andrew, for you and dad."
Once again, Andromeda stayed silent and took in the childish pride in her daughter's voice, so similar to the voice which used to say a soft goodnight to her every night. Teddy was definitely their light in these dark times, but Nymphadora would always be her only baby girl.
"I would have preferred something more astronomical, Dora. Maybe Castor. Or what about Leo?"
Tonks grunted. "Well, then my next kid will be Alpha Centauri and that's it!"
"Nymphadora!" exclaimed Andromeda, causing Teddy to start fidgeting in her arms. "Look what you did. You woke him up. Shush, my dear, Grandma's here to smack your mum's head for you."
Tonks laughed and rubbed her head at the prospect of receiving one of her mother's smacks. "Sorry, son," she apologized to the baby. "Maybe I should just call him Alpha Centauri, mum, don't you think?"
A faint smack was heard, followed by Teddy's cries.
"Ouch, mum! What a good role model for my brat."
"Don't call him brat. And don't even think of calling him that other name," she added when Tonks opened her mouth, and instead saw her daughter grin. "But anyway, my dear. My grandson is handsome enough to have whatever name his mother chooses for him. He would have been a fine Arcturus, though: strong and healthy as he is."
"Arcturus sounds old, mum," Tonks complained. "Teddy is more fun, and Remus is somewhat exotic."
"What can be more exotic than a star name, Nymphadora?" asked Andromeda, kissing Teddy's cheek and smiling when he gurgled happily. "See? Teddy knows Cetus could be a fun name."
"He laughs because it's a ridiculous name. I would have called him Sirius but... Well. I don't think it's a good idea."
"It would have been brilliant, Dora," said Andromeda sadly before smiling again. "But my little baby boy will be a fine young man no matter the name. Just like you. Your father said Nymphadora was a stripper's name, but here you are, an Auror and a mother."
"Why didn't you listen to him?" asked Tonk with fake indignation and a huge grin. "Oh, well. Now I know what name to choose if I ever want to earn more money."
Another smack.
"Mum!"
