Oh. My. God...What is that?

It's moving... Why is it moving?

"Stop what you're doing and don't come any closer, I don't want it touching me!" I quickly made my way to the door, threatening to leave the room if he didn't behave.

"Get over here, Clary. I promise I won't do that again."

I walked cautiously over to him, while watching it at the same time. "You surprised me by whipping it out like that."

"Are you okay Clary? You look a little uncertain of this." Jace grinned, waiting for my reply.

All I could do was stare at the offending object he was displaying for me. "What? No... I can-I'm okay." Why is it growing like that?

"I know this is your first time."

"Psh, what-everrr." I said, trying to avoid his gaze.

"Your reaction to seeing it out like this says differently." He laughed. "We can take it slow you know."

I looked up in his eyes. "Slow?"

"Yeah... But, I just thought that maybe you'd like to become acquainted with it, seeing as how it's a lot bigger than others you've seen."

"That's true... It's much bigger than Alec's, huh?" I smiled at it.

"Yeah, but he's never seen one like this. So when we're done later on today, please don't question him about it. I don't want him to be jealous of me." He winked.

"Promise."

"So again.. You're absolutely sure about this? Jocelyn won't get mad at you?"

"Of course my mom will get mad, she told me to wait until I got older to do it, but I don't care what she thinks."

"Alright then, here. Give me your hand." He said, reaching for me.

"What do you want with my hand?" I said unsure of myself now.

He shook his head. "You're going to grab it, silly." He came closer. "Here, give me your hand... yeah, just like that." He grinned down at me.

"Just like this, huh?" I gave it a soft squeeze and then loosened my hold on it. "Oh!"

"Whoa now, hold it with a firm grip or else this won't work out right."

"Yeah, okay..." I did with it what I thought I should.

This is easy, and surprisingly fun too!

"Wow, you're doing really well, it's like you've done this before."

I smiled. "I've seen you do it sometimes when you think nobody is watching, I'm a quick study."

"So I'm learning."

The door slammed opened, catching Jace and I off guard.

"What are you two doing!" Isabelle rushed forward, glaring at us. "You're going to get in so much trouble, Jace. You were told to leave her ignorant."

"I don't care, and Clary doesn't either. It's not like anything big happened anyway, you ruined it before we could get started."

"Give me that." Isabelle took the new shadow hunter blade from my hands and started walking out the room.

Jace ran up to her. "Where do you think you're going with that? It's mine."

"Not right now it isn't." She closed the door, leaving Jace and I in the weapons room by ourselves once again.

"Might as well call it quits." He suggested, grabbing his things from the floor. "Hungry?" He held out his hand for mine, making my chest flutter.

"Where are we going?"

He raised a brow at me. "Do you really need to ask?"
