Butterflies

2-D had butterflies in his stomach.

He finally managed to have a normal relationship with a normal, pretty girl and he was really happy about that. He felt happy when she smiled at him, he was happy when they kissed, he acted happy when they hold hands, cause there really wasn't any reason not to be.

Murdoc wasn't jealous but every time he saw them holding hands, he got the urge to punch 2-D in the face 'till that fake happy smile turned into a bloody, swollen grimace because 2-D had lied to him, like he lied to 2-D.

He had butterflies in his stomach. They crawled through his innards and when one of their hairy legs touched the inner skin of his stomach he barley could kept himself from vomiting.

It happened every time she told him how much she loved him and ever time her eyes changed while they kissed.

Murdoc didn't answered when 2-D told him in a quietly tone that he had a girlfriend.

He didn't speak with him afterward.

He may said something before but it wasn't right.

Murdoc

.

You're OK?

Looks like I'm, face-ache?

N-No sorry Mud...

Don't apologize.

If it's about, you know, what I … did earlier...

Nothing happened

What?

Nothing, idiot. Heard me?

But...

Nothing had. Nothing will ever.

Silence

They silence just stayed and 2-D started lying because he couldn't take Murdoc's truth.

But the butterflies didn't let him and one day he couldn't take the lies anymore. So he told him his truth hoping Murdoc would understand.

Writing a new song face-ache?

He nodded.

Murdoc snorted and picked the paper from him.

He read silently.

2-D stared on the keys of his keyboard waiting for Murdoc

to finish, to say something.

Maybe in time you'll want to be mine.

What's that supposed to mean?

Murdoc finally speaked.

2-D could feel the butterflies crawling up his throat.

He shrugged, the flaps of filmy wings making his eyes slightly tear.

Dunno.

He mumbled.

Declaration of love for your little girlfriend?

Murdoc didn't sound taunting also if he tried to.

2-D couldn't answer just shaked his head.

He don't get it.

He bend a bit over trying to surpress the feeling of sickness.

He don't get it.

The butterflies were in his head, fluttering madly,

trying to escape his mind

and to tell Murdoc the truth.

He opened his mouth.

Sure.

They stopped. He closed his mouth.

Murdoc left the room. He stood at the door for a moment.

I'm sure she will like it.

Happy little love song for your happy little girlfriend.

He left.

2-D was alone with the butterflies in his head.

Not for her.

He whispered.

The butterflies were dead.
