Disclamer: I dont own Andromeda, someone else do. I have nothing of value, so there is no point to sue me.

Feedback: Yes, why not. Just remember, its my very first story, so dont be too hard on me.

Spelling etc...: English isnt my first language, or even my second, so there is bound to be some errors (a whole lot, actually). If you want, you can point them out to me and i will correct them.

Rating: G. I like nice stories with happy endings. Maybe i will try something else later, if you dont like this.

"Harper, are you here?" Trance asked, while she walked in to his quarters. She walked over to his bed and sat down. This was the time. The time she was gonna tell him what she felt about him, what she felt since she first saw him on the Maru. He had accepted her rightaway, because she was just like him, a lost soul in the wastness of space. They had become best friends, and they didn´t like being apart. This friendship had evolved into something more now, something even more beatiful, and she wanted to share this with him, and hoped that he felt the same. Maybe then she could open up to him, tell him about her, who she was, where she came from. She wanted to do this. She had wanted it a long time, but now she was certain. She knew that he would understand, he was after all a genius. And he was Harper, her best friend. He had comforted her when she was sad, allways being there for her, never asking for anything in return but her friendship. And she had been there for him, when the memories of his childhood became too hard for him to carry alone. Beka had told her that Harper was one of a kind, and she was right. He was special. He was... Harper. There was no other way to describe him.

'But what if he doesn´t feel like this?' Trance started to think.

'What if he just think of me as a friend? Can this destroy what we have?' Now she was wondering if this was the right thing to do. 'I dont wanna lose him as a friend, i couldnt live with that.' A small doubt started to form, and she got scared.

Right then Seamus Zelazny Harper, Andromedas enginer, and selfproclaimed genius walked in the door, and found Trance sitting on his bed with a worried look on her face.

"Trance, what is it? Has something happened?" He started to be scared. Trance was his best friend, and he wasn´t gonna let anyone hurt her, not as long as he was around. But this was different. She didn´t look hurt, only sad.

He went to his bed, sat down next to Trance, put her arm around her, and said: "What´s up, my sparkly purple babe?"

"Harper... I love you." She hoped that she sounded secure, but she knew it was just a whisper.

It looked like someone slapped Harper in the face. 'Where did that come from?' he thought. He loved Trance, no doubt about that, but he hadn´t expected those feelings to be returned. He had grown use to the idea that he was the best friend, the one she always could turn to if she wanted to talk, play a game or just to sit toghether, not wanting to be alone. But this was his ultimate dream. Since he left Earth, all he just wanted was a job, a place to call home and a girl he cared about. With Andromeda, he had found the first two. A little too dangerous for his taste, but Dylans dream of the restored Commonwealth was worth it. And now he had what was missing.

He leaned towards Trance, but instead of kissing her, he just hugged her dearly, not wanting to let go, ever. Then he whispered "I love you too." He didn´t see it, but he felt Trance´s body relax, and he knew this was forever. His dream had come true.

The End.
