Henry sat down at the kitchen table, reading the newspaper, drinking some coffee. Then Gabe came in, grabbing some coffee of his own, sitting at the table next to Henry.
"Ok, man…" he started. "We have thirty minutes to come up with an idea for this fanfic."
"Wait…what?" Henry asked, thoroughly confused.
"This is a fanfic. We need an idea!"
"Um…well…." Henry took a minute to think. "We could…go shopping?"
"Um, no."
"We could burst out into song?"
"Big no."
Henry tried to think some more but nothing came to him. "All I got is nothing…"
Suddenly, inspiration struck Gabe. "That's it!"
"What's it?"
"We'll make the fic about nothing!"
"That kind of defeats the purpose…" Henry stated, dumbfounded.
"Yeah, but it's nothing!"
"Well, what'll happen? Who's the characters?"
"I'm a character and you're a character….Natalie can be a character."
"So wait…" Henry had to rethink this again. "You're idea is to make this fic about nothing and make us characters?"
"Well, yeah! It's genius!"
"It's….less than mediocre."
But then Gabe got angry. "IT'S NOT MEDIOCRE, OK? IT'S BRILLIANT!"
Intimidated, Henry just muttered, "If you say so….So…when does it start?"
"Well, it already did!"
"So when does it end?"
"I dunno, whenever."
"How about now?"

"No!" Gabe yelled. "Not yet!"
"Now."
"Ok, fine. Now."
