Two lonely people and a late night drink

The morning wasn't even perceived as morning yet, it was still so dark and early that you would have said "See you tomorrow" instead of "See you later". It was 3:12 that morning and it was quiet out, quiet, cool and with no wind. The stars were vibrating and Birds were rustling in the brush, but other then that the whole yard was quiet. The only light was from the moon and a lit cigarette on the wooden gallery. A young man sat there, smoking and yawning although not at the same time, his eyes were closed and his breathing deep, he was falling asleep. Two plastic deck chairs were placed across from each other, he was in one and had extended his legs to rest in the other. A small table was beside him with an ashtray and an empty glass on it. The young man snapped his eyes opened and then picked up a bottle from beside him, he uncapped it an poured the amber liquid into the glass and raised it to his lips, he took a sip and felt the poison run down his throat. The young man's name was not important, what was important was that this was not his house he was at, he did not even know who lived here…it simply just looked comfy to him. As the man's cigarette burned out he quickly lit a new one and kept drinking his concoction. From behind him he could hear a woman speaking on the phone and then the door opened."I called the police" the young girl said

"No you didn't" he said. "Yes I did, didn't you hear me on the phone ?" she asked.

"I did but you repeated all they said to you out loud" he said and paused to sip his drink."Or you will be here soon?" he mocked.

"I'll call them now" then she said."No you won't" he replied. "Besides what am I doing wrong ?" he asked."Trespassing" she said in a matter of fact tone."I'm not technically trespassing since you haven't asked me to leave" "What?""Its only trespassing once you've been asked to leave yet you remain on the property" he said as he sipped his drink once more. The woman moved more outside and stood a good distance away from him. He opened his eyes and noticed she had a baseball bat in one hand and her other hand was in her mouth as she bit her thumb nail tenaciously.

"If you are going to hit me with that bat I suggest you use two hands" he said as the Woman immediately clutched the bat with two hands.

"Who are you?" she asked with a frown.

"Who cares" he said waving off her question."I do"

"Well don't" he said and lit another cigarette.

"How come you haven't broken in or stolen anything?" she asked.

"That's not what I'm here for" he began. "And if I was I would of done so already""Then why are you here?"

"Looked comfy and I've got nowhere else" he said with a shrug.

The woman looked at him oddly as the man smiled at her.

"You are a good person" he said.

"How do you know that?" she asked

"Because a lot of other people would of have me arrested by this point" he said.

"Well I think your harmless" she said."Then why the bat?" he asked.

"I play in the MLB" she said.

He laughed and drank more out of his glass and then kept smiling. He didn't know why she hadn't called the cops, he figured he would be halfway to jail by now.

"Your lonely" he said as the woman shifted her eyes away from him."That's why you haven't called the cops" he said.

"No" she said.

"Shhh" he said with a smile. "Don't ruin this for me" he said as he downed the remainder of his drink.

"Don't ruin what?" she asked

But he was already dead. His glass rolled from his hand as his head fell back, a smile and peaceful look on his face. The woman tried to shake him, to rouse him awake, but it did no good, she then picked up the bottle and stared at the little bit of liquid left which the Forensics team would later tell her was a mix of Scotch and Paint thinner.
