"What the hell are you doing Granger?"
"Packing," she replied.
"Theo mentioned you were going on some daredevil holiday. Don't be so stupid we need you here not off risking your life!"
"I'm not risking my life."
"You're going to throw yourself down a mountain, how is that not risking your life?!"
"I'm going skiing. Honestly your lack of muggle knowledge is astounding. Skiing is perfectly safe as long as you wear the right protective gear."
"So you'll be protected?"
"Yes Draco."
"I still don't like it."
"Well you know the answer then. Come with me."
"No way in hell are you getting me to do your death sport."
"Awh, don't knock it til you've tried it."
"Don't want to try it," he groaned.
"Sure you do...know why?"
"Nope."
"Because you'll be with me."
"Fine but if anything happens to me it'll be on your shoulders!"

Hermione knew she shouldn't giggle but she couldn't help it. Draco was being unintentionally hilarious. Ski wear was something he couldn't pull off. His black salopettes puffed out making his skinny legs look like squishy muscle and his bright blue ski jacket puffed out making him look like a pygmy puff. He'd spent an age putting on his hat and helmet to make sure his hair lay just right.
It had taken another half hour to get Draco to put on his goggles and get him in his ski boots and on his skis.
Hermione usually had a lot of patience when teaching people to ski but Draco was a very unique being and proved very hard to teach. He'd fallen over more times than she could count and was becoming surlier with each set back he made.
And so the hours dragged on and Hermione began to regret her decision to allow Draco to accompany her, for in teaching him she had no time to ski on her own. Before her she could see Draco finally managing to ski down the hill so she sped up in order to reach his side should he fall. When she reached the bottom she noticed a crowd of people with a camera.
As Draco came hurtling down she noted that he was losing his balance. One, two, three, thud. Draco was down, his body only slightly visible as a great cloud of snow engulfed him. *Click* went the camera. All was quiet while Draco struggled in the snow and as he finally emerged, goggles askew, snow everywhere, he looked like a drowned rat while the camera clicked away in the background.
"What are you doing here?!" he demanded.
"What? We couldn't miss a treat like this," said Theo.
"What treat?"
"The treat of watching you fail," said Theo.
"And fall over," added Adrian.
"And see Granger triumph over you again," said Blaise.
"Some friends you are," mumbled Draco.
"Who said we were your friends?"
"Yeah, we cam for Granger," said Theo with a wink.
The look on Draco's face was priceless and Hermione felt that perhaps inviting Draco along had been a good thing after all.
