Yes, I know that this is late - nor has there been the final chapter of "Revived". My computer crashed this past week so I am a bit off kilter. I'll try better this week, but I can't make any promises. Thanks for your patience. Please enjoy this one-shot from "Elvis Is In the Building" and remember to share with your fellow fans! Also, if you have a moment, please leave a comment and tell me what you think. Thanks, guys! You are awesome fans!

Troy's hands were busy with the engine of his customer's car but his brain was free to think - and think he did. He mulled over Sue's well-meaning scolding. At first her words had stung, not because they were harsh - Sue could never be harsh - but because they were true.

My brother is here in town - thinking of moving here to be closer to me! - and I can't stop giving him the cold shoulder long enough to see if he has changed.

Then the lightning bolt of clarity struck.

It isn't him who has to change anymore - it's me.

Troy struggled with his thoughts, but by the time he had wiped the engine oil off of his hands he knew what he would do. But first he would need to call Sue. He would need someone who could translate.

Judy's look of surprise, then delight, confirmed to Troy that his decision had been the right one. Nathan's shy, signed "hello" melted Troy's heart. He had never even seen his sweet little nephew before and he already adored the tiny tyke. And Ben - the hope that replaced the defeat in his older brother's eyes mirrored the hope that had blossomed in Troy's own heart. That hope only grew through their long conversation that stretched from the early evening into late that night. Plans for a big move figured largely in their signs. Laughter sparkled in their eyes and forgiveness and new starts were mutually shared.

For the first time in a very long time, Troy had hope that he could have a family - his family - again. It was good, so good, to share that hope with Ben.
