DM Sleepwalking in the Night
It was quiet at night in the Gru residence. Not a sound could be heard. Suddenly there seemed to be noises coming from the kitchen. ''What was that?'' Agnes yawned sleepily and started to tremble. She didn't like it when there were strange noises at night. It was creepy. ''We'll go and track it down'' Edith whispered.
They crept slowly and quietly down the stairs. There was a familiar shape looming in the distance. ''Margo?'' Agnes whispered, but Margo didn't hear her or even notice that she was there. ''She can't hear us'' Edith replied, ''She thinks she's from another plant or something''.
But secretly, Edith wondered if Margo had turned into an evil zombie. She and Agnes watched as Margo wobbled into the dark kitchen, opened the fridge and lifted out a homemade chocolate cake that had recently been baked by the minions. Edith and Agnes stared as Margo sank her teeth into the cake and took quite a bite.
Then Margo got up and nearly walked into Agnes on the way! Edith watches as she wobbled her way back upstairs and flopped back into bed. ''Whoa'' Edith thought, ''I never knew monsters ate chocolate cake''. Next morning she found Margo eating her breakfast as if nothing had happened.
Meanwhile in disbelief, Gru and Lucy stared at the chocolate cake in the fridge with a huge bite sized chuck in it. ''Edith what's dis?'' Gru growled. ''What?'' Edith asked timidly. ''Did you do this?'' Lucy frowned, folding her arms. ''No'' Edith protested, ''it was Margo, last night she turned into a monster''.
Gru glared, ''Dat's a Likely story''. ''Maybe you shouldn't be allowed any'' Lucy scolded. Edith sighed. It wasn't fair, why did she always get blamed for these things? Well tonight she was going to prove what was happening with Margo.
That night, Edith and Agnes watched as Margo rose sleepily from her bed and headed downstairs to the kitchen. They saw her take the cake out of the fridge and put it on the table. Then she picked out some knives and folks and set them on the table too.
''I've laid the table'' Margo suddenly spoke, making her sisters jump out of their skins. Meanwhile Gru and Lucy had heard the noises in the kitchen and grabbed the freeze ray and the flamethrower. ''Who goes there?'' Gru barked loudly. ''Do you think it could be burglars?'' Lucy whispered. ''I don't know'' Gru answered coldly.
He kicked open the kitchen door, ''Freeze!'' he shouted. ''Daddy, it's just us'' Agnes trembled. Lucy flicked on the light. She saw Margo asleep at the table and Edith and Agnes in the corner. ''See I told you!'' Edith said, ''Margo's turned into a monster''.
Gru inspected Margo Carefully. ''She's not a monster'' he exclaimed, ''she's been sleepwalking''. ''Why didn't you tell us?'' Agnes asked, slightly hurt. ''It's never happened before'' Lucy replied. ''Let's wake her up before she does anything else weird'' Edith said.
Gru shock his head, ''Oh no dat's not a good idea Edith'' he said, 'we need to get her back into bed and tomorrow I will take her to see de psychologist''. Lucy nodded. ''Now let's all get back to bed''. Edith couldn't have agreed more.
