"Could you wait for me, please?!" Shizu Osaka breathlessly yelled out to Ristuko, who has been running for a while now. Shizu turned back to see Tokaji Ono breathing heavily, with his eyes shut behind her. She slowed down for him and grabbed his hand, as if it were her own life she was trying to save. Beyond them, their beloved Ristuko had came to a sudden stop. In front of her, made her breathless and shocked her to an extent whereas she could not move or blink. Shizu called out to her, telling her to snap out of it, but the creature in front of her disabled all of her survival instincts. Shizu could see the creature, who seemed to be 10x bigger than an elephant, move towards Ristuko and lift it's arm. She cried out once more, not getting a spoken response, much less a single movement from her dear friend.
"I can't let her die like this. Tokaji would be so angry at me.. I'd be disappointed at myself as well.." Shizu thought to herself. She looked back at Tokaji, who was still gripping her hand and breathing too fast for comfort. Shizu knew what she had to do, instinctively. She showed Tokaji a pained face, her eyes tearing up. She somehow mustered up a smile. Tokaji saw her mouth utter something that was too quiet for him to hear her. Shizu jumped out towards Ristuko, and shoved her like a mad man, off to the side. "Demonic talisman, purify!" Shizu yelled out, pulling out a talisman from her school uniform pocket. Ristuko quickly turned on the ground, realizing what Shizu had done. "Shizu, please!" Ritsuko yelled out, but her voice too strained to have Shizu make sense out of what she had said. Tokaji ran towards Ristuko, holding her like a mother would. He cried and look at Shizu, and back at Ritsuko. Being as weak and fragile as he is, he tried his hardest to run away pulling Ristuko along. He didn't want Shizu's sacrifice to be in vain. He took a final look at his one of his only friends. The demonic talisman had already taken over most of her body
Tokaji could sense the pain Shizu was feeling. It was all of his fault. If only he had ran faster, the demonic monster could not have caught up. He turned back, once again. This time, Shizu turned back at him. Half of her face had been consumed already. The only remnant left of her existence was her prized necklace they all shared together. He picked it up and held it close to his chest. He saw the already consumed Shizu cry, and smile at him. He felt at ease, but pained. As if Shizu was calling out to him. /p
"Help me, please.. I... want to live with you all! You're... my dear friends!"
Tokaji had heard Shizu cry out, but it may only have been an echo in his mind..
So, how was it? This was kind of a test chapter, and if I get at least 5 reviews, I'll continue it. I hope you will like this though, even if I did just whip it up on a whim. Please review if you read it, or at least liked it! Thank you!
