"You won't believe what I caught Miku making the other day!" Hibiki yelled over Miku's desperate protests.
"Ooh, I'll bet it was a love letter." Chris trilled, leaning forward over the table.
Hibiki's smile slid off her face, and was replaced by a confused frown. "Why would she write a love letter? She can tell me she loves me anytime she wants, I'm right here." She said in confusion.
Chris's face flushed in embarrassment, beaten only by Miku's apple-red face. "I-it was a joke, idiot." Chris mumbled in embarrassment. Miku simply hid her face in Hibiki's shoulder while Maria and Tsubasa laughed.
Kirika and Shirabe walked towards the group carrying trays of food for the group. "What'd we miss?" Kirika asked curiously.
"Just Chris making a fool of herself again." Giggled Tsubasa.
"A-anyway, what did you catch Miku doing?" Asked Chris quickly in a desperate attempt to change the conversation.
"Oh yeah-you'll never believe it she-" But before Hibiki could finish the thought Tsubasa's S.O.N.G. cell went off.
"Tsubasa here." She answered, immediately serious again. Her eyes suddenly widened, her eyebrows furrowing. "What? In the middle of town? Is Elfnein sure it's real?" Tsubasa stood up suddenly, and everyone excluding Miku followed her lead. "We're heading there now." Tsubasa finished sharply. Looking up she glanced at Miku quickly. "Sorry but we can't stay for the food. There's a Relic user running around town asking for Maria. Elfnein has confirmed that the signal is real, too."
"What does she want with Maria?" Demanded Kirika defensively, while Shirabe subtlety inched closer Maria.
"She is the only confirmed relic user, maybe that has something to do with it." Miku said quietly.
"Whatever the reason we can't just leave her waiting, can we?" Asked Chris with a smirk.
Before running off Hibiki turned back to Miku, and clasped her hands together, bowing slightly. "I'm sorry; we'll do this another time." With that apology she turned and dashed off with the rest of the members of S.O.N.G. before Miku could say anything.
After they had left Miku heaved a deep sigh. I dodged a bullet there. But, she thought as she looked at the two trays of food in front of her. How am I supposed to pay for all of this!?
Sorry, that was a rather boring beginning. Hopefully the next chapter won't be so bad, but I've never been very good at writing action scenes. Any reviews would be very welcomed, because I obviously have a long way to go with my writing. The beginning of this feels... sloppy I guess. I'm not very good at writing multiple characters at once so maybe it's that but... I don't know.
Anyway, I hope that you'll stick around and continue reading Scarlet Wings!
Sorry, this wasn't the update you all were hoping for. But it's coming, don't worry! To make a short story even shorter I dealt with that most dreaded of fates; lost files. No worries though, everything was found and is A-OK.
So what is this update for? I forgot a period. Had to be fixed. If all goes to plan this should have another chapter or two up by the end of the week. It would probably be unreasonable to ask you to be patient so instead, I just ask that you all join me in celebrating the announcement of season four and season five.
