I'll keep holding on

It had been sixteen years since goku died from the devastating heart virus and months since the death of her only son, Gohan.

She sat in her house at her bedroom window. She hardly went anywhere because nowhere was safe, especially not the city. That's where most of the attacks by the androids took place. Ever since that fight with the androids and the Z fighters, chichi hasn't stepped foot at outside the mountains. She was too afraid for her life especially since no one was around to protect the earth except trunks.

Poor boy, despite the fact that his father was a bastard, Chichi felt sorry for the boy. Trunks didn't know his father for he was killed was he was just a baby and Bulma will never know whether Vegeta really loved her or not.

"I don't think he ever did" chichi said as she continued to watch the rain outside. That's another reason she couldn't go out. It was raining but even if it wasn't raining she still wouldn't go anywhere. Not as long as those monsters are around….

If she ever needed anything from the market then her father would get it for her. She didn't like her father going out either for fear of him too losing his life out there in this now destroyed world.

She choked out a sob and leaned her head against the window. Oh how she hated those androids so much. They destroyed everything, her life her family, the cities, everything…..

But did they have to take her only son? Close to goku, she loved her son more than anything in this world. Now that he too is gone, she had no reason to live. What was the point? The androids would eventually find her and kill her too. Those androids will not stop until every being on this planet is dead.

If only Goku were alive he would set things straight. He always came through for us.

"Oh Goku I miss you so much" she said walking over to her dresser. She picked up a picture of her, Goku and Gohan when he was just a little boy; maybe about four or five years old. Her father the Ox king was standing in the background.

She rubbed her thumb on Goku's face. A single tear rolled down her cheek and fell on Gohan. "my poor boy!" she cried out as she sunk to the carpet on her knees. She sat there and cried for a while since that's all she's been doing for years…..

"When this ever end?"

"When will those androids ever leave?"

"Why can't things just go back to the way they were before when Goku was alive?"

She asked herself these questions over and over again but no answer came to her.

Chichi got up and walked over to the bed laid down. She took a pillow and hugged it close to her.

"oh well, so long as there's hope I'll keep holding on" She said.

Goku, my son, we will meet again someday in heaven but until then I'll keep only…..

Those were Chichi's last thought before she fell into a peaceful sleep. She dreamed that the three of them were running in an open field filled with flowers. The dream took place when gohan was still a kid.
