My name is oryxsarim, and I have just seen a ghost! To top it all off, I not only saw the ghost, but I actually spoke to it and helped it by going on a quest! I haven't been in Lumbridge for very long, but this is by far the strangest thing I have encountered. I had just completed a quest with two fellow warriors with great success, and I thought that I would be on my way. I was wrong – I encountered Father Aereck in the Lumbridge Church, and my newest quest was begun. Father Aereck told me that there was a ghost haunting the church graveyard, and that he needed help in finally laying it to rest. He directed me to find Father Urhney on the shores by a swamp in Lumbridge, for he was the one who knew what I needed to do. I made my way on foot through the swamps and finally found Father Urhney. He was a rather disagreeable fellow at first, I must say! After some discussion, he finally decided to help me. He gave me a ghostspeak amulet – an object that would allow me to speak with and understand a ghost! I needed to go back to the Lumbridge Church graveyard and find myself a ghost. The entire return journey to Lumbridge Church's graveyard was spent thinking about what I could possibly say to a ghost. I had to find out what the ghost needed in order to be laid to rest. When I arrived at the graveyard, I searched and searched, until finally the ghost appeared before me! It was unlike anything I'd ever seen before, and I hope I will never see again. The ghost told me that he wasn't sure why he was still here, but thought it might have something to do with his not having a skull. A warlock near the mining area apparently attacked him, so I needed to go there to try to find his missing skull. I set off for the mining area and began searching for the missing skull. After some searching, I finally found the skull behind a rock. When I picked up the skull, however, a skeleton attacked me! Rather than trying to fight the skeleton, I took the skull and fled the mining area. I ran full speed back to the graveyard, wondering what I should do next. There was a coffin at the back of the graveyard near to where I had spoken to the ghost earlier in my quest, so I decided to make my way over there. I opened the lid of the coffin, and sure enough, there was a body missing its skull. I placed the skull into the coffin, and something amazing happened! There is no other way to describe it but to say it was just like magic. The ghost flew off, now to be at rest, and my quest was complete! I never in my wildest dreams thought that I would ever see a ghost, much less talk to one or help it to find peace. Now that this quest is complete, I am going to continue on my journey and see what happens next!
