A Small Red Ladybug
It was a sweltering hot day and the balmy wind brought with it no relief. Marinette walked in through the door to the history class and Adrien couldn't help but stare. She just looked too cute wearing her usual white top minus the blazer and paired with some black dress shorts. She smiled cheerily at him and sat in her usual spot next to Ayla. Class continued for the seemingly indeterminate length of time that can only be achieved when the weather is as hot and the air is as heavy as it was on this day. Marinette felt her focus drifting but didn't particularly care enough to steer it back it the right direction. Instead she set about doodling a small red ladybug on her forearm. This was the reason she wore long sleeves every day, if she didn't, her arms would be covered in art. Glancing up to see if she had missed anything important, her eyes met Adrien's, he was twisted fully around in his seat, staring at her. He grinned and turned back around, leaving her blushing into her book.
Ladybug shifted uncomfortably in her skin-tight suit, clearly it wasn't made for weather this hot. This patrol seemed to last longer than the others.
"Perhaps we should stop for gelato after this block, my lady" Chat teased her as he saw her getting more and more affected by the heat. She only shook her head affectionately and said
"Come on, we have work to do. Then maybe after you can go find a patch of sun to lie in."
She rolled up her sleeves to her elbows only to stop when she heard a gasp from Chat. She spun quickly around to see him staring at the small red ladybug doodle still on her forearm.
"Marinette?!"
A/N: I know technically she couldn't roll up her sleeves but it's a story ok
