"Huh? Oh, Excuse me. Sorry! I was just reading this book here. Sorry to keep you waiting." Says the older man in his arm chair. "Welcome to the World of Pokemon! My name is Professor Oak, but everyone calls me the Pokemon Professor!" He laughs, "before we go any further I'd like to tell you a few things you should know about this world!" He stands up and centers himself in a rather large circle on the floor of his office. "This world is widely inhabited by creatures known as Pokemon." He pulls out a small red and white ball shaped capsule and pushes a button on the side. A small blue mouse-like creature appears before him in a burst of light. It squeaks and jumps around his legs. "Humans here live along side Pokemon as resources and some consider them friends just as humans dwell with animals on the Outside." He goes back to his chair and sits back down. "At times they play together other times they work together. Some people use their Pokemon to battle and this develops closer bonds." the strange round mouse hops over to him and curls up on his lap. The professor then clicks the button on the side of the ball once more and the creature disappears in another bust of light and particles. "No, we just need a bit of information from you." He pulls up a couple of clipboards with a mountain of paperwork attached to them. "Here fill this out."

He hands the other guy and me each one of the boards. On it was a form with the seemingly basic information needed: name, age, physical characteristics... it almost seemed too detailed for a job application. My residency history from the last 10 years?! God people, I am only 20 how many places do you think I have lived? I sigh and fill it all out. It takes hours. He wanted my whole life story basically. I get up and hand it back to the old guy.

"Why thank you," He pauses and looks down at the paper then squints."

I sigh "Irri, said like eerie, and in eerie movie."

He looks back down. "With the star?" he asks dubious pointing down at my name.

I nod, used to that question on literally every interview I have ever been in.

"Really?" he asks again tapping my papers together on the clipboard.

"Yes, want a copy of my birth certificate?" I cross my arms. Lord is he really one to judge about names?

He shakes his head with a chuckle. "Oh, Huh! How curious." he puts the papers into a file on his desk then looking back up to me. "Well, Irri Starr, are you ready?"

"Yes sir, I am."

He jumps up and comes toward me. "Well good! Your mission and grand adventure are about to unfold. Fun experiences, difficult experiences. There is so much waiting for you! Dreams, adventure! Let's go to the world of Pokemon!" He smiles, "I'll see you later!" and with that he claps me on the back and I stumble forward into a hole I could have sworn wasn't there a minute ago.
