LightningClan is a clan that lives alone. It was made by a group of loners who had studied clan life and copied it. The leaders get nine lives, the medicine cats speak with their StarClan, and the toms grow up to be warriors.
She-cats are oppressed in LightningClan. They are used to have kits and to be a companion for the toms. The only thing she-cats can be besides a mate is a medicine cat, which has all the same rules as the ones in the original clans have. Medicine cats are considered to be she-cats who are very wise and intelligent. Any she-kits being considered as a possible apprentice must have these qualities. Any medicine cat caught in a secret relationship will be punished, but the tom in the relationship will have a much harsher fate.
LightningClan lives in a thick forest mostly made up of oak and maple trees, very similar to ThunderClan territory. This is because it was mostly ThunderClan that the loners studied, leading them to even base the Clan name off of ThunderClan's. They hunt squirrels, rabbits, birds, mice, moles, voles, and even a few fish when they're desperate.
Their camp is a massive fallen oak tree that the cats have turned into several dens and nests. They have all the dens that an original clan has: the leader's den, warriors' den, medicine cat den, nursery, and elders' den. However, they have one more: the prisoners' den. A prisoner is a cat that has either trespassed too often or has broken their code.
I haven't gotten all the cats in the clan figured out yet and decided to allow OC submission. The form I would prefer you to use is at the end of the chapter.

Chapter 1
Shadowkit watched the snow fall gently from the sky. He was sitting in the entryway of the nursery with his sister Sunkit beside him. They were five moons old.
"Look," said Sunkit, pointing with her tail at a particularly large snowflake. "That one looks like a star falling from Silverpelt."
Shadowkit grinned. "Look at that one," he said, gesturing at a different one. "It could be the sibling of the one you pointed at."
The golden she-kit giggled. "No, they're mates," she mewed. "Because here come all their kits!" It was true. The sky was alive with falling snow.
Suddenly, their father, Wolfheart, loomed above the two. "Shadowkit," he growled. "I thought I told you to stop playing with your sister. You should be spending your time getting ready to become an apprentice instead of wasting your time with a she-cat."
They both cowered before him. "Sorry, sir," whispered Sunkit. "I'll leave him alone now." With that, she fled back into the nursery.
Wolfheart watched her go with a calculating gaze. "She'll be quite lovely when she gets older," he murmured, mostly to himself. "I'll have to make sure that only the best gets her." Then he addressed his son. "Shadowkit, do you think that Sunkit would do well for Frostkit?"
Shadowkit thought of Frostkit, son of Graystar, and shook his head. The young tom was selfish and arrogant, while Sunkit was generous and sweet. The two were polar opposites of each other, and to top it off, Frostkit hated her anyway. He was constantly teasing and making fun of Sunkit and would only stop when Shadowkit intervened.
Wolfheart ignored his son's opinion, which was typical. He looked Shadowkit over with an icy blue gaze. "I think that Snowkit would make a fine she-cat for you," he said. "The only thing wrong with her is her missing leg, and that doesn't affect her beauty at all. Does it?" Without waiting for an answer, he spun around and stalked away toward Graystar's den.
"No, sir," replied Shadowkit to Wolfheart's tail. Then, as soon as his father was out of earshot, the little black tom sighed. He hated being treated like some high and mighty cat by everyone but his father. Scratch that: he hated being treated like that just because he was a tom. He hated that his sister was being treated as a, well, a she-cat. Sunkit deserved just as much as him to become a warrior, or at least a medicine cat. But with the way things were, that would never happen.
Shadowkit gazed up at the cloud-filled sky and felt determination race through him. I will become leader, he vowed. And when I do, I will give Sunkit the life she deserves. As an afterthought, he added, And I'll give the same to Snowkit. With a flick of his tiny tail, the black tom spun around, much as his father had done, and stalked back into the nursery.
It's a bit of a short chapter, but it'll have to do for the first one. I'll do my best to make the ones after this longer. I don't need the leader, deputy, or medicine cats, just warriors and she-cats.
Please don't include a personality with your cats, or if you do make it easy for me to work with. I'm trying to keep things organized, so at least try to keep things simple.
I will not accept OCs that are gay, transgender, or anything related to that.
The form I would like you to use is below, and you can use the same form for both genders.
