I blinked to clear my vision and pushed my glasses farther up my nose. With that done I pushed open the door to the room I was in. The hallway was dingy and smelled of mold and smoke. There was the sound of voices somewhere down the hallway.

I followed the sounds down the hall to where a man was talking on the phone. His back was facing me but I could tell by his vomit green hair who it was. The Joker of course.

When I stopped behind him, he closed his phone and turned to me. He had a sinister look about him and I felt a thrill run up my spine. His lips curled back revieling yellowing teath. A laugh escaped his his lips and the glint of the dim lights on his blade caused fear to mix with the excitement.

"I know your gonna kill me and all, but I'm gonna ask you a question first." I said not bothering to ask, even though he could kill me quicker then I could react. He rose a white painted eyebrow and cocked his head to the left. I felt my lips slide slowly into a smirk. The words fell from my lips without much though. "Why so serious?"

It was silent for a moment that felt more like a year, but then I burst onto histerical laughter. Quicker than I could think, the blade was pressed to my neck and The Joker's face was close to mine. I straitened up and tried to rein myself in, but I coulden't help a few giggles that escaped.

"Tha-ta was my line!" He growled in my face. His breath smelled minty dispite his yellow teeth. Making me wonder briefly.

I rose an eyebrow and tilted my head to the left mimicing The Joker's earlier response and said, "what is this a movie?"

He pulled back and broke into a slow smile. "Yes, yes it is." He said bursting into laughter.
