Ed is four years old now him his mom and dad were having dinner. His favorite mashed potatoes, meat, peas all covered in gravy.
"Edward how would you like to have a little brother or sister?" asked his mother.
"Gravy" Ed starts drinking the gravy boat.
"Edward no" his dad slapps the gravy boat out of his mouth.
Ed bursts into tears.
"Ed look mommy has a baby in her tummy" his mother explains.
"YOU ATE A BABY?! MOMMY HOW COULD YOU" Ed was freaking out he flipped the table.
"Ed look you will get a new brother or sister" his mother kindly explains to her son who is now eating the table cloth.
"Baby?" Ed asked his mom.
"Yes Ed i'm going to the hospital in spring to have the baby" his mom explains to Ed.
The next day Ed goes and find his friends Eddy and double D. Eddy was setting up a lemonade stand but the lemonade was yellow paint.
"Eddy, Edd my mommy ate a baby" Ed tells his friends happly.
"Ed it's not possible for a person to eat a baby" Double D tells Ed.
"My bwother says babies come from…"
"Eddy wet's be supportive of this exciting event the mirwical of someone having a baby" Edd scolds Eddy.
As the months went by Ed saw his mother get bigger and bigger to accommodate the baby in her womb. Every morning his mom would throw up. For breakfast they would often have buttered toast because his mom would crave it. Then one morning his aunt came over in the middle of the night.
"Ed congratulations you have a baby sister" she tells the four year old.
"Aw I wanted a brover like Eddy and we could name him Ed two" Ed sulks.
"While mommy is coming back from the hospital today, but for now you need to have a bath" his aunt tells her nephew.
As you know Ed hates baths.
"No bf no baf" Ed ran away.
"Ed if you don't take a bath the baby will get sick" his aunt scolds.
"Baby sick?"
"Yes Ed baby's cant get well faster like you and me" this sounds like something Ed would hear from Double D.
"Ok fine, make it vewy qwick" Ed complies to the bath. For once.
A hour goes by Ed starts playing with his toys when he sees his parents car. He runs towards the door. His mother has a carrier in her arms the dad was holding a suitcase.
"Baby?" asked asked looking at the baby in the carrier swaddled in a pink blanket and a cute little pink hat.
"Yes Ed this is your baby sister Sarah" Ed gave the bundle of pink a ball. And throws it at her. It hits Sarah's head and she cries.
"Edward be careful with your baby sister she can't play with you yet" scolds his mother. So Ed got some buttered toast leftover from lunch.
"No Ed Sarah, cant have buttered toast either she does not have teeth" his mother sighs.
Ed tries to give her gravy.
"No Ed, Sarah cant have gravy yet" Ed goes to his room. And goes to bed. But Sarah has other plans. Sarah cried for half of the night. Their mother was trying to settle the baby down. Ed crept into the room.
"She's fed, I just changed her, and it's too early for colic" the mother sighs as she puts the baby in the bassinet. But all the sudden Sarah grabbed Eds finger. And the crying stops.
"Ed your being a good big brother" praises his mother.
"Would you like to hold the baby?" his dad asked Ed.
Ed nods he gets on the chair and his mother gave him the baby. "Now Ed mind the head" reminds his mother. Ed was on his mother's lap and only held Sarah's head. Sarah now falls asleep.
"Oh all Sarah wanted was her big brother" the parents smile at the new siblings.
