The Blade
So sharp and shiny and new,
looked like the sparkling of dew,
so dangerous but pretty too,
not that anyone really knew.
The edge was sharp enough,
although I knew it would be tough,
to slice and make a mark,
but stronger than that of a shark.
It touched the skin and I shook,
it really was so difficult to look,
my me and myself would be free,
and no one would question thee.
To end my life would be so bad,
but never again would I be so sad,
it would be the end to all my pain,
and I would have nothing left to gain.
